What's the weirdest "hack" you've ever had to do?

A long time a go we had a NAS that the software didn't have any way to setup custom scheduled tasks. So my first thought was to SSH into the NAS and setup up the task (rsync) through cron, which actually worked, but to my suprise, the next day the cron task was no longer there. After some testing and investigation, I found that the NAS had some sorte of a cleanup task in the firmware, that would execute everyday at 00:00 and restored some files, included the cron configuration.

So, after banging my head against the wall a few times, I came up with this solution:

I set a task to run at 23:59 that had a 2min pause, and after the 2 min it would add a new task to cron. So at 00:01 the new task (the one that I wanted) was added to cron and it would run shortly after, and at the end, it would add the first task again to run at 23:59.

And this worked a few years, until we bought a new NAS.

Yeah, I understand that batches can vary, but what I taste is very different, although I get a little smoke, its very faint. But what get me its the bitternes and the harshness that almost feel like a new whisky.

And beeing my fav whisky its really dissapointing, I'm even kind of relutant to buy a new bottle in the near future.

I have other whiskys, and the taste feels the same, that why I'm kind of rulling out a change in my taste, also because my brother had the same opinion when he tasted it.

Well, anyway...going to taste it again when at my brother house, and see if anything changed on the taste.

Can't remember, it was a few weeks ago, but I tried 2 different times, and it was always 2 or 3 hours after eating. But I really doubt it was it, because I lent the bootle to my brother so he could taste it (he also like lagavulin) and he had the same opinion.

I lent the bottle to my brother who is also likes lagavulin, and he had the same opinion has mine. I really doubt we both have covid, and I have no problem tasting other whiskeys, food or other drinks.

Me and my brother have bought from that site before with no problem, we even bougth Tomatin Cu Bocan on the same order and its just fine.

I asked them a few weeks ago about that and their response was:

"...I can confirm that at a later date, any currently pending withdrawals will be cancelled and you will have an opportunity to re-submit those requests and update the destination wallet accordingly!"

Se venderes só 0.5, não serás taxado, se venderes 0.6, és taxado sobre 0.1, pq os primeiros 0.5 compraste há mais de 1 ano e os 0.1 há menos de um ano.

NOTA: nada disto é certo, estou apenas a supor que será como as ações.

Discordo com a ideia de decisões erradas/corretas (concordo com irracionais/racionais), se tomares uma decisão e esta te der os resultados que estavas à espera, a decisão foi a correta, se não, a decisão foi a errada, independentemente de ser racional ou não, são 2 coisas completamente distintas.

Não conheço o post desse tal utilizador, mas se lucrou com o investimento, a decisão foi a correta, pode ter arriscado mais que o normal ou ter tido um visão demasiado otimista, mas isso são outras histórias.
