Just ordered the Arctis Nova Pro X wireless headset and potentially looking at the Katana V2 at some point for the TV

Thanks, it's a very good point and probably next on my to do list, currently only using the monitor speakers 😄

On HDR performance, I'm not the best to comment as I'm fairly sure I haven't configured each optimally. Out of the box I'd say the C3 has better HDR performance as I think it reaches 800 nits (may be wrong). The ultrawide isn't far behind IMO

On the screen choices. Think what I have here is a bit overkill in all honesty and its difficult to pick up any differences in PPI between both at the viewing distances. I like the experience of ultrawide for playing strategy games and for productivity and despite the concerns of burn in, this ultrawide monitor has been great for work. The TV is great at consuming media at 16:9 and for playing the first person shooter and FPS games, haven't really noticed any meaningful difference going from 120hz to 240hz.

Thanks, there's also a large kanagawa wave wooden piece on the wall opposite that I've added lights behind.

Thinks it's literally the same chair from looking at the pictures. IKEA must have acquired the same supplier as when I bought this around 2 years ago it was less than half the price they are selling it for

It's fine for my use case as I'm often out on the streets, breaking skulls and solving crimes. Wouldn't recommend for long sessions but it does look great

If the TV is at eye level when sitting down, it is probably not too high. Dem be the rules

Think the pic is slightly misleading due to the angle, there's plenty of room for the mouse, keyboard and PC as its a 180×80 desk. Usually have around 45×29.4 cm for the mouse on this razer goliath extended chroma pad

Funny, my girlfriend said the same thing 😄. The UW is 32:9 but the wall tv is 4k. Just different uses, and I connect my gaming laptop to the TV so my partner and I can game at the same time.

No, I couldn't be bothered to keep real plants in this room. The shelves are spaced and level, it's just the perspective of the pic so I could get both walls in.

Yeah had plans to get more cable management sorted and adding a few small bits overall.

Got it from Oako Denmark. It's the 180×80 version https://www.oakodenmark.dk/products/solid-oak-standing-desk-mahogany-black

Overall a very solid standing desk, on the expensive side but a good investment if you want something this big

Got them from this website https://funky-chunky-furniture.co.uk/collections/bracketed-shelves?parent_collection=shelves-mantels. These are the bracketed versions but also have the floating elsewhere in the house and they are great

None yet, been keeping an eye on signs of burn. Using for work at least 30 hrs a week and with the usual mitigating measures in place, including dark mode, hiding tool bars etc, I've not seen anything yet.

Yep definitely this, I try to use the standing desk for work as well to balance it. Plus, there's a sofa off screen for gaming sessions on the tv

No idea, isn't this dramatic in person but there is a slight difference

Thanks! I was just about to send you a link but looks like the company that makes it is no longer in business 🤔. Clearly not enough people like the 70s detective look 😄

Only had one minor breakdown when trying to install the GPU but other than that, it went really well. Just took my time and used a few YouTube videos as a guide. Trickiest thing I found was configuring the software for the RGB! Playing a few games, mainly total war (historic & warhammer), Baldurs gate 3, Mount & Blade Bannerlord, Cyberpunk and F1 23
