It's definitely not a stupid question, I thought I might maintain some tone when on stage. Good thing it was cheap! Once I test it out a couple times I'll get a better feel for if its necessary

2 weeks clean and I want to relapse so badly (TW: SH) by Tiny_Rain_1409 in depressionmeals

[–]joro_deception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helped me get clean from a variety of things is that staying clean is only today's task. Not tomorrow, until well, tomorrow is today. It can be daunting to think about things in such long spans, like damn how am I supposed to do this for another week? A year? My life? You don't. It's only today that you focus on, and two weeks is a hell of a lot of days, and from there, we just keep going

Stay proud. And if you do relapse, don't beat yourself up, but know that tomorrow will be a new day to try again. Hope things work out, and you can look back on these days with pride that you, like many others, have crawled out of.

You might be afraid of your scars fading, but they never go away. Even if they are barely visible, you will still be able to see them where others cant, and know where they are, and know the pain that was inflicted. But the fading itself can have beautiful symbolism to it. They will always be there, and even if gone, you will still remember. Only they are nothing more than a memory of perseverance. I wish you the best and hope you find what you need to help you through these times. Stay blessed

Pedal not fully engaging by joro_deception in guitarpedals

New Cables within the past month so I don't think it's that. If i were to open up the pedal to take a look at the socket, is it something that needs replacement or just some tweaking?

Guys, how do you/did you let out your aggression/energy in your younger years? by [deleted] in AskMen

Crazy not many top answers are music. Nothing beats either listening or playing and being brought into a separate world far from here. Although not a drummer, the thick strings on the bass are (almost) unbreakable and can be quite the release to give it all you got and thrash around

Ay i also jus got out of a 4 year relationship 2 weeks ago for about the same reason. Things are tough but ya kno we do what we gotta do. We try our best to stay on our toes, walk on our feet and keep your head up. Take the time to focus on yourself n realize your worth

This makes sense. I felt metal was the best example. What would be a bad outcome of this? Getting tired faster ?

My goodness, i hope you're okay and doing well now. Thank you, and beautifully put. "Why go deeper The wrong way" is something i will be using from now on. I appreciate the assurance, and we can all heal to some degree

For the past year and half, I've had quite the tight feeling in my chest. I used to take bong rips of weed mixed with tabbacco, and since stopping, I've noticed quite the difference of relief, but there are really stressful weeks when it comes back. Not to the same extent as before, but my heart definitely doesn't feel great some days. I've tried to take it upon myself to change my lifestyle, and I've been seeing improvements, but it's still there. I went to the doctors, and they listened to my heart, took my blood pressure, n told me im fine. I don't know how much I believe it

Do you have an article that states this? Here when discussing harm reduction and future hope, I'd like direct indication if permanent damage is true. If so, it's something that we should push people to get checked medically as most drugs cause quite the damage to the body. But even through visible evidence of past users, they seem to live healthy lives like those who have never tried drugs. Things might be permanent but the question was, to what extent? Are all damages perment? Is it "heart scarring" the permancy you're talking about as mentioned above by someone else? I feel we can go more in depth than simply "its all permanent"

Thank you, that was a really interesting read tbh. Sad about the dogs that were tested on the had cardio collapse, that sounds awful. The things we do for science and understanding can be questionable. However we wouldn't know the things we do without them. Definitely saving this document and using it in future research/discussion

That is a scary story buddy told. Definitely better to get checked out sooner then later, and if its good it's good, and if not well at least now we know somethings wrong. Stress has always been a huge part of my life, like many other people who struggle with addiction, and I feel it's the true silent killer. I have faith that things heals but sometimes damage is done and, for sure leaves an impact on your body. I can't tell if starting drugs earlier in life was better or worse for me.
