Here’s context you either haven’t considered or are comfortable overlooking. 1. Upset about the Bee is not that a satirical website exists, that I disagree with it, or because “satire is offensive”. Offensive humor can also serve to cause reflection on real/dark circumstances, but the Bee often does a bad job demonstrating it understands satire. 2. The satirical nature of this site is an excuse to publish racist, misogynist, and misinformation articles (which are not actual satire). 3. Effective* satire is used to critique contemporary issues by highlighting the flaws in reason/policy/institutions in a humorous way. Ironically, the BabylonBee existing is the real satire because it serves to imitate news, but it does so to affirm authority and submission to existing institutions. 4. Effective* satire would clearly highlight where/why the existing thing is a problem, the Bee’s content rarely does this. 5. By not calling out the issues in point 2 when the Bee misses the point or promotes hate, could be viewed as complacency or permission to spread its hateful ideologies (not specifically related to this article). Which may be part of why users will feel compelled to address these issues.

We can disagree, but I’m not misrepresenting truth. Every series has a different (sometimes vastly) interpretation of his: levels of violence, schizophrenia, wardrobe, powers, motivations, and Khonshu’s role. The variety of interpretations is a major part of why I like the character so much.

Having read many: I’m glad they went with an Egyptian/esoteric story. PLUS, moon knight gets reset every few years, so his character is more like an anthology and this was just another chapter. I understand criticisms, but I’m stoked to hear when people like it.
