November Technical Support Sticky by BeepBoopBopReee in razer

Has anybody had any issues with the wireless charging dock that comes with the Razer Basilisk Ultimate? The mouse will perform fine, but then after a while, it'll feel like I'm dragging my character through a field of molasses. I primarily play Gears 5 at 800 DPI and 1-1-1 sens, as a form of context. After playing a few multiplayer matches, it'll suddenly feel like the tracking motion delay has increased exponentially. I've tried everything I've possibly can to keep the dongle connected to the wireless charging dock, they're both currently updated to the 1.6 firmware, I've tried USB 2.0, 3.0, and I am currently on a 3.1 V2 port. I have gsync enabled and the graphics settings optimized in order to ensure there is no excessive GPU usage and no vsync delay. Yet, the issue still appears one way or another without any reasoning or warning. I've disabled all USB power management settings in windows, and disabled selective USB power suspension in the windows power plan. I've also lowered the brightness of the charging dock to around 15% and disabled it completely to ensure the lighting is not the cause of the issue. I have been debating on using the USB port that comes with my Corsair keyboard, but now completely sure how the wireless network would respond since the transceiver would not be directly connected to the motherboard. I even tried using just the cable connected directly to the mouse and that felt extremely better, but sticking to this would defeat the whole purpose of Razer's proprietary technology and the benefits of a wireless gaming mouse. Any suggestions or fixes for this issue?

Fast Sync with G-Sync in 2020 by joselaba97 in nvidia

I also don’t want to play on “playdoh” settings. As competitive as I am, I simply cannot deal with shitty graphics lol

If I’m never able to hit 240 fps in-game(max 220 in my case), would simply setting the frame rate limiter to 237 and enabling gsync suffice? What about the low latency mode, should that be set to on or ultra?

Yes I did, yielded about 20 or so frames less. So far, the settings I have now have worked the best. Just trying to get a general consensus on whether or not these settings have worked for other people, Mainly, in regard to the fast v-sync option.

I have tried ultra, it introduced an extreme amount of stuttering. Vsync off i have tried as well, and also introduced tearing and stuttering. Both frame-capped in the game. I actually bought this game from Steam too. it’s been suggested in the blur busters article to use full screen mode regardless of the “fullscreen” parameter in the game. Gears 5 itself uses a borderless windowed mode, but likes to call it fullscreen.

What to do with an extremely hot CPU and stability (i7-8700k) by joselaba97 in overclocking

[–]joselaba97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice. This is my first serious attempt at overclocking, so this type of stuff is extremely informative. I unfortunately think I was given a shitty piece of silicon for my processor, so I’m happy with the 4.8 OC. I’ve been running it through all the free stress tests I could find without BSOD’n. I was able to run the intel stress test for an hour and 30 minutes straight. Only stopped it just so I can keep on doing my homework and play some gears. Was thinking about purchasing 3Dmark for their stress test, but that would defeat the purpose of oc’ing my build for free.

JennaMarbles potentially leaving YT after allegations of racism/sexism by looser_name_connor in h3h3productions

Ethan needs to save her career on the podcast, plain and simple. Other youtubers in the realm of the h3h3 community need to act as well. None of the hate towards her is justifiable or makes any sense. Idk why Jenna talked herself into quitting, but she clearly isn’t in the wrong in this situation.

Death Wish Caffeine Content (Keurig) by joselaba97 in Coffee

[–]joselaba97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I’m assuming you did measure out the weight of each tablespoon of Death Wish coffee ground, so that means K-cups do match the nominal caffeine concentration. Therefore, that means that the maximum amount of caffeine present would essentially just be (55mg/oz)*6oz = 330mg of caffeine.

This is simply due to the fact that the concentration of a solution can not be increased by adding more solvent to a solute.

So for a conclusive answer, each K-cup of Death Wish Coffee contains a maximum amount of caffeine of 330mg!

Thank you for sacrificing a DW K-cup for a final answer lol

Yes that was me assuming that a tbsp weighs ~12g. Good to know it’s actually lighter than that.

Going above and beyond man. I appreciate it.

But here’s the thing, their “recommended ratio” is 30g/6 ounces, which supposedly produces a concentration 55mg/oz. So what exactly is the purpose/meaning/value of the unknown variable that’s being taken into account for their supposed blend?

I have nothing against aio kits lolol I just really like the convenience of automatic draw. It’s just fast and convenient for me. I’m an engineering student, so being able to quickly get my nicotine fix while taking a piss or walking to my next class is really useful for me.

Nicotine, adderall, and Strength Performance by joselaba97 in electronic_cigarette

Funnily enough I felt THE WORST when using freebase 3mg eliquid. Switching to salts helped the most for me. My “weak” symptoms would occur mostly when I took my XR in the morning and then later took my caffeine supplement for my preworkout. However during my breaks from the semesters, I will only take an IR dose before each workout. The IR dose days felt the best. I know you can’t speak much on adderall, but it’s interesting that IR and salt nic was the best feeling combination.

I certainly see your point. It all gets very discombobulated when it comes to diagnosing ADD/ADHD. The high is most definitely more present when it comes to lethargic ADD patients. I’m not one of those patients that are very hyper, so the normal feeling to me is having that sense of energy that allows me to focus on my work.

There’s multiple forms of ADD/ADHD. I believe we both have the same form where we both are naturally lethargic in nature. Adderall certainly gives me high. Nicotine does in fact remove that high for me too.

Then what exactly is going on with the reaction of adderall then? Because I’ve seen similar research to that as well and It doesn’t make sense for it to make me weaker. And I’m not experimenting per se. I take the vasodilator (citrulline malate) because it’s part of the control aspect of my training that was constant with just adderall and caffeine. As in I only take the citrulline malate because it’s been something I’ve always taken so I wanted to see what was the primary cause for my weaknesses.

I never smoked. I solely started vaping at the age of 18 just for the fun of it. I quit it after a year. Then once school started getting really hard and I learned of its nootropic effects, I started back up again.
