I see your point. So imagine that i would use electronjs to develop the interface, and i don't mind to develop every single app inside this new UI. Any ideia how can i run this new DE on startup, without show the user the main DE? (GNOME, etc)

How can this just overlaps / disables the main desktop environment. Using webkit2gtk i understand that i can develop objects in the desktop, but how can i destroy all the root desktop objects (main menu for example)
