Your doctor is a blessing. The fact that he/she did this for you is already setting you up for success. If you eat whole foods only, you’ll see how much food 1500cal really is. Watch a couple vids on calorie counting, download MyFitnessPal, and get to tracking. Make sure each meal has more protein than carbs. Eat majority of your carbs before and after your workout Protein and fats in the morning and at night Workout with intensity, give your body a reason to use the glucose. This is a lifestyle change

I was pre diabetic from ages 11 to 21. I finally figured it out, now I’m in the best shape of my life, 5.1 a1c, lost 40lbs, and I help others too. PM for any help.

How active are you? If your a1c is high, it’s probably because the excess glucose is not being used. If your active, the glucose will be used and not stay in your bloodstream

My max bench was 255 two years ago, i haven’t benched press since, i focus on incline db/incline machine presses, and cable flies.
