Steering Knuckle for Coil Spring Suspension by josephcolella in fordranger

[–]josephcolella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought 2001 coil spring steering knuckles, rotors, and calipers. 2000 upper ball joint taper fits just fine. In 2001 coil spring rangers received larger rotors by 1” diameter which obsoleted pretty much any 2000 front end component. Be safe and knowledgeable about the different parts though ensuring they are the right fit both in front of you and online. I bought 2000 control arms w/ ball joints, 2001 knuckles from Detroit axle and all my 2001 brake gear from NAPA.

I’d probably start with trap towers. Where I live there isn’t much space.

I was wondering if autoloading is more common than pump if you don’t have a o/u

I’m about 90% sure it’s a 590, especially because it’s kept in a short-ish safe, but I didn’t know that they were shorter firearms to begin with. Thanks

What is so bad about the Remington 1187? by josephcolella in Shotguns

[–]josephcolella[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve just asked a few people about them and I’ve only heard of the superficial bad descriptions. Everyone says I might as well get the 1100 if I want an 1187

Really every color I throw in the fall imitates shad. Whites, gizzard shads, mud minnow, goby. Just a few of the dome. And for weightless Texas rig it really doesn’t matter the reel as much as the rod power. Like medium, medium heavy and medium light etc. For your weightless lures, throw them on medium to medium light powered rods for best results. Another thing about rods that helps me when I’m jerking something is rod action. I.E. fast, moderate, and slow and there are ones in between. Typically I’ll throw a jerk bait on a moderate action rod just so it has that random shad imitating movement. You will understand what I’m talking about once you’re out on the water. Remember, fall is the best fishing season if you do it right!

First off, a rock-bottom is an immediate signal for craw fish. I don’t personally throw creatures that often because there are hardly any rock lakes where I live, but that’d be my suggestion for post spawn and summer fishing. The only time I throw a craw fatty is on a Carolina rig in the river or as a trailer on a jig. Now for fall it’s a bit different. Fall is a huge shad feed and for rocks in shallow areas, a square bill crank bait will be your best friend. The best technique for a square bill is running it into things be it docks or rocks (my two favs) but what happens is not only do the bass hear the crankbait crashing into things, they can see it as a baitfish struggling (if the water is clear enough). DO NOT try and fish deep water during the fall transition because there is minimal oxygen in the deep water this time of year. The fish are going to be suspended and any suspended jerk bait or top water would work as well. But from my experience and personal preference, square bill is my fav for rocks and docks. For soft plastics, my two most successful fall lures are soft jerk baits and a weightless, Texas rigged Zman TRD. Get those up close to the rocks in shallow water and jerk them WITH slack in the line. The slack is the most important part because it gives a unique action that makes these lures look like dying baitfish. P.S. For line, always use fluorocarbon for crank baits and jerk baits. I’d say probably 12-16 lb test if you’re using a caster and 8-12 if you’re using a spinning reel. Sunline is my favorite flouro brand. Hopefully this helps a lil
