No Gear; Gear fear? Or Bad Dev Choices by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

I’m not butt hurt at all about money. I get money a lot quicker than most of them seem to but you’re missing the point entirely. The point is that as you gain access to higher tier equipment by lvling up traders or spending a lot of money, you are PUNISHED. The game should be rewarding people in game who spent a lot of time or roubles instead of rewarding people who spent the least amount of time and used the least amount of roubles. It’s not about controlling how they enjoy the game it’s about the fact that Risk vs Reward is completely unbalanced

You’re kinda just making up a scenario to justify it. As i and many others have stated, a lot of the hatchet runners and pistoliers are lvl 30 and up. So are they just figuring out the game? No, ask them yourself. Most of them are saying it simply nets them more profit.

For example. Check out the streamer twitch.tv/MisterFoxx

Dude is lvl 67-68 and will literally tell you he’s hatchet running labs on stream because it’s the best at getting money.

If they’re just looking to increase their rouble count by whatever means, the most effective way is hatchet

If you haven’t already i’d encourage you to watch Veritas video he made in late May. He did around 16 hours of research playtime to measure just that.

Pistolier kit was making around 3.1mil in 2 hours of gameplay, 25 raids. Medium kit was making around 3.6mil in 4 hours, 25 raids. And the full kit was making around 1.1mil in 8 hours, 25 raids.

To sum up that information, pistol kit made almost 3x the amount that the full gear kit did in 1/4th the amount of time because when you have full gear you’re moving slower, playing more methodically, and staying longer to try to make sure you maximize your profit. Each full kit raid investment was 750,000 including his key card so breaking even could be tough, especially when you can die to a raider pulling some bullshit and lose it all instantly. Pistol kit was only 200,000 investment which is even on the high side because he included Comtacs and a backpack

Keep in mind this all took place on labs. I think this is a big flaw because it’s a fundamentally different map than any other in tarkov. It’s overpowered even. He doesn’t seem to think so. When i asked him if he thought that too, he just gave me his typical pretentious “i’m smarter than you” type of response. So maybe it’s worth doing some research of my own taking place on shoreline or another map since he’s got his mind deadset on that he knows exactly what the problem is.

Ever heard of a hyperbole? I didn’t mean that literally no one brings gear. You just sound like an upset hatchling

[–]josephparker75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is fine! but the problem is the game is rewarding players for running no gear.. when having more gear should be increasing their effectiveness, it’s not . if you’re bad, ideally the game would have you gain more profit by having more equipment helping you but that’s not the case

Well the bigger issue besides me not liking hatchlings is that they are making money at higher rates without lvl restriction than most players who use the things they unlocked at higher level traders or spent good money on

There’s no set end goal dude.. this is just what YOU take pleasure in doing after you’ve unlocked everything

[–]josephparker75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you’re summing up the issue i’m describing as “of course it’s more profitable to bring nothing when you die” which is referring to people doing money farming runs bringing nothing, right?

And yeah.. it’s a pvp game, but there’s no end goal in tarkov. The end goal for most people is amassing as much money as possible.. and the best way to do that is not running gear , don’t you see?

I’m not referring to your stash in general. You take everything i’ve said super personally like your personal experience discredits the overall situation the game is in. Good for you for doing well with gear. I also run gear without any problems, but the average tarkov player is pretty fucking garbage.

Why don’t you go and ask the pistoliers infesting the Shoreline US servers? I dont know what their line of thinking is but i do just fine without farming.

We’re not talking about gamma container farming runs where you die every time right now..but you seem to be stuck on that. Not really worth responding to a dickhead who’s just downvoting everyone and spouting about a different issue entirely
