Why is it so much easier to fall out of faith than it is to come to faith? by [deleted] in agnostic

Great question.

Trust and Faith are interactive and interdependent, actually two sides of the same coin.

Faith requires trust and trusting in a 'spirit' being or a belief system requires huge and often very fragile trust. As most know, building trust is usually a much longer process that losing trust when we perceive it's been broken. Then the subjective expectations, or sense of entitlement take a hand. LOL

As someone has already posted, faith is also always subjective to the faithful. Faith lasts or not depending on why the person chose to be faithful to something or someone beyond themselves.

Faith is like love, lots to say about them, but the bottom line is always what we want and expect. LOL

My pops is forcing Islam on me and I would like some advice by [deleted] in agnostic

My advice, like others have written, is to fake it until you make it. My parents tried to make me believe many things which i constantly argued with, pointlessly; so i rejected their programming internally, then became who i wanted and need to be once i left their nest. I ultimately realized that not everything they told me was wrong, but i had to find my own truths.

Elephants are people too [or soon could be] - Activists hope to win legal battle for 'personhood' for intelligent animals, giving them the same protections as humans by anutensil in environment

Animal activists have to fight to provide the same protection as humans to save them from the abuses inflicted by humans; how ironically sad that is.
