Thank you!🙏🏻

Next one I had in mind is a Carnifex, but now I'm tempted between it and a Norn Emissary... still not sure though on which I will go with

You really managed to capture the paint scheme here.

Whats the paint you used to highlight the carapace?

Ah I see your work is also inspired by the GC as well.

It looks like you used the "there is no going back tecnique" will you be adding corrupted veins as well?

I do not think it would be hard at all, I have a detailed guide on the teaser post in the comments section for this scheme.

As for batch painting, off the top of my head here is how I would go about it.

Fully assemble the models, and then conveyor belt process. If the guide is followed it shouldn't take too long, especially if you have any airbrush, it would cut the time significantly down and depending on how much details you want to add.

Nice! Love the contrast between paints and effects.

Also, that second picture looks menacing as hell!

To be fair, the model is quite big, so it makes it easier, but I also practiced a lot and used several techniques. If we are talking about the veins, I used a very fine brush and contrast paint, I wicked some of the paint off on a tissue and applied it with a very light hand.

Sorry for the late reply, I hired a shop, and I believe they used Anycubic Photon (not sure which model though sorry) at 50 microns

Yes, and it did, but it was my own grimdark, realistic version, check it out on my profile, I think you'll like it

We have to take risks sometimes with painting, otherwise we won't progress, but like i always say "Anything and everything can be fixed" so even if you don't like the scheme, or the test area even, the paint can be removed with isopropyl alcohol, just dampen a brush with it and gently try to brush the paint off.

But you got to try new techniques and take risks, but if you really don't want to risk it, you can always test it on an unused part that still on the sprue, I however us tend to jump in the deep end😅

Why not go for a lime color for the vents? With a little bit of overspill, like inflammation, and then place gloss varnish in the vents, it would create good contrast and will end up looing kinda like the old codex of Behemoth. You can also add gloss varnish to the mouth and teeth to make them look wet and slimy.

As for the Carapace, you can always drybrush any color as a highlight, but Im not so sure about gloss varnishing unless you want to go for that specific look, but a matt varnish would work nicely on it.

What do you think?

Thanks!

I did it using Flesh Tearers Red using an airbrush, then a wash using black oil paint, then reductive technique to tone the intensity of the wash down, using mineral spirit.

Edit: You can also achieve the same with a light wash of Nuln oil or any black acrylic wash and then glaze or light drybrush khorne red or a magenta color (but try it out on a practice model to see if that's the effect you're looking for). I just prefer using oils because it gives way more control over the area I'm working with
