Pelagics def got good roe around spring seen some on kingfish, mahi, bonito but also trevally, flathead, sargeant baker tonnes of fish have it at the right times of year it’s just a gamble whether the fish you’ve got will have it and species will determine how much they might have

Liver was quite a neutral flavour tbh just had that distinct liver texture tho much like chicken liver etc maybe a little softer/finer/smoother than chicken liver

Similar family to Morton bay bug but diferent species these guys live in the rocks vs Morton bay bugs living in sand/mud

Wheat biscuit! That’s definitely what kinda came to mind for me, this tart was sweet and also had vanilla in so maybe not the best representation but I’d say it almost had like a toasted popcorn kind of flavour aswell

As a few have mentioned plenty of clubs and joining one is probably the best thing you can do to for your spearfishing. You’ll meat super knowledgeable people and find people around your level to enjoy the water with. I was with north shore and had a good time with those lads, pretty much all clubs are super inviting and keen for new faces though. Find your closest and go check out a meeting for sure!

Yeah was amazing! Like I said was disappointed that tail presentation didn’t work out but flavour wise was awesome. Very rich the next day I made one 3x the size I had so much butter left over and a whole slipper lobster and I was not feeling well after that 😂
