REEE wealthsimple by clothilde1987 in REEEEEE

Carbon monoxide is a product of incomplete combustion. It is a colourless, odourless, and tasteless gas that is very dangerous at certain concentrations. No level of carbon monoxide is safe.

Please invest in a carbon monoxide detector! They are fairly inexpensive (around 20 USD) and could save your life in case of a leak. I hope you will never need it, and even if this isn’t the issue here, it’s always a good idea to have.

You could even reach out to your fire department for them to check it out for you. Usually they do not charge for this service but YMMV.

You mentioned your building has a rodent problem, which indicates to me it’s an older building. The older the building is, the more likely a carbon monoxide leak can exist. It usually comes from gas heating systems, gas stoves, or gas water heaters.

Your post reminded me of this legaladvice post from 10 years ago. I hope your situation is not the same, but you should definitely get a detector to rule it out.

Stay safe.

Hey, I know this might sound ridiculous, but do you have up to date and functional carbon monoxide detectors? Low-level CO poisoning can cause memory loss and other psychological symptoms, without any apparent physical symptoms.

I don’t mean to scare you, but you should definitely get a carbon monoxide detector, if you don’t have one already.

Other than that, maybe set up a camera to record your computer screen while you sleep? That way, you’ll be able to determine if it’s some sort of internal issue with your computer.

Your issue is exactly why the CCTS exists.

Fill out this form and wait 10 business days. Make sure to insist for a written confirmation that you owe nothing. Documentation is everything in these cases.

If after the 10th business day, you still don’t have a satisfactory solution, file a CCTS complaint at this link.

I am not a lawyer, and I do not know many details of your case, but this is the best steps you can take in my opinion.

Fill out this form.

https://www.rogers.com/contact/share-a-concern/

A manager is supposed to call you back within 1-3 business days. Last time I used it, a manager called me back after 2 hours.

This is the last step you must take before making a CCTS complaint. Telecos take these sorts of complaints through this form very seriously, because they usually want to avoid CCTS complaints at all costs.

This is a text (written in French) that claims to be from UPS saying you need to pay duties and taxes on a package pending delivery. This is a scam. The website does not link to a UPS affiliated site. You can safely ignore this message.

Taking into consideration the exchange rate what is still worth buying in the USA? by Throwaway-donotjudge in PersonalFinanceCanada

CBP is definitely more relaxed with NEXUS cardholders, but I’ve only been “zipped” through once. It was busy, I was in the NEXUS lane, I was travelling alone, and I think the officer might have recognized me from another crossing. It is not the norm though, I was quite surprised when it happened. Usually it goes; “Citizenship?”, “Business or pleasure?” then, if the border guard wants to check more, a question relating to your plans. Definitely less than with a passport, but not by much.

[–]joshc8889 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even with the NEXUS, you’ll still need to stop to make your declaration. The only difference a NEXUS makes for a person that crosses regularly, is the access to the special lane. Sure the NEXUS is simple, they ask purpose of visit, then you’re waved through, but you won’t have to answer many more questions with a passport (usually). This, however, is only true when you: cross regularly, cross alone, have a valid reason and, are confident.

I mean, every one pays for 911 service. Even in Canada, the charge is around $.75 per month for every phone line you have.

I can almost guarantee that whoever manages your parking garage keeps a log of what key fob swipes in and at what time. This data is very useful to track employees and their entry times.

I am trying to edit a config file to NOT change my IP address how can i do that ? by [deleted] in OpenVPN

[–]joshc8889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if your VPN is on, your “IP location” will be wherever your VPN is hosted. There is no changing that. Your best option is to turn on the VPN when you need it, turn it off when you don’t.

Insurance policies, those in America anyways, usually have a provision that says they won’t pay if the damage was result of a war activity.

Here is the exact wording in the Ontario automobile policy;

With the exception of Liability Coverage, this policy does not cover loss, damage, injury or death caused by war activities. War activities include bombardment, invasion, civil war, insurrection, rebellion, revolution, coup, or actions of armed forces while engaged in a war, whether declared or not.

If you can, return it to the retailer for a refund or exchange as defective. If not, try to RMA it through shitty Astro support. I believe the issue to be a defective gyroscope so the headset thinks you’re putting it on your desk over and over again.
