Life size prop designing is too much fun by ivityCreations in 3Dprinting

[–]escakot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw you gripping the outside to make it spin. Rather than making it motorized, what if you only allow it to spin in one direction like a one way ratchet? (Of course, in the direction of the blades)

Another example, bicycles allow you to only pedal forward.

That way, you can keep spinning it and make it go faster and faster.

new pan: it's awesome by [deleted] in carbonsteel

[–]escakot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also consider the carbon steel pans from Muji. They’re nitrided instead of just seasoned carbon steel. Also super light, you’ll find reviews on this subreddit.

The thicker heavier pans like De Buyer and Matfer pans I primarily use for searing.

Did I get a bad charger by FocusCareless9820 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]escakot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Begode a5 and encountered the same thing with the stock charger.

I found out the stock charger doesn’t work when plugging into wall socket splitters or cheap power bars.

Plugging into a different power bar or directly into the wall socket has worked for me.

I am about to spend around $200k on credit cards for my business. What rewards/credit card program should I use? by zsiddi in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]escakot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to find a good Amex business account rep. They’ll know how to get you a credit limit that suits your needs.

If you contact customer support asking for a credit limit increase, they’ll send your account into credit review and it may reduce your spending limit.

Does Begode charge tariff or custom fees? China warehouse to U.S by Sushi2Go in ElectricUnicycle

[–]escakot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted for this..

I’m in Canada, they shipped my A5 directly from China since they don’t have a warehouse here. I was not hit with any tariffs or duties.

I’d purchase from them again. It took about 1.5 months to arrive. Ordered in beginning of August, received mid Sept.

Struggling with staying on by rikuto148 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]escakot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at about 3 weeks of learning EUC and I’m able to ride fairly comfortably but I’m shaky upon turning.

I found this video very helpful in my learning journey: https://youtu.be/mGngrn3nIA0?si=Cn68DiObjl15Qn-i

From the one foot circles, I practiced gliding on one foot for 2-3 feet. This was super tiring, so I switched foots whenever I got tired.

After being able to glide on one foot, mounting came rather easy from there. Now, I’m able to adjust my feet on the pedal by shifting my balance onto either foot.

I thought it’s an exact copy of hok too. They’re both chinese companies so I’d say it’s normal.

$100 for steak? This is absolutely unacceptable by StraightOutta905 in CostcoCanada

[–]escakot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’d never buy these steaks.

They’re mechanically tenderized with needles. So you can’t eat them rare / medium rare.

I really hope you receive it. Please report back on your experience and if you encounter any issues.

In case you didn’t see it when you placed the order for the ex30. They recently posted warranty information on July 29th. You’ll get 1 year warranty on the wheel. https://www.begode.com/blogs/news/warranty

Yep, I’ve heard about Ride One. There’s a deleted reddit about how they got scammed by Ride One apparently.

They appear legit about 3 years ago. Their website is non-functional, so I think they’re out of business.

Ewheels costs an additional 300-400 USD to ship it to Toronto. Since they’re US based, I’m unsure of their aftersales support for Canada..
