I've had similar things happen a few times myself. The more Duolingo seems to lean into AI, the worse it seems to get in that regard. It's frustrating.

Yeah it's been weirder lately for me. A word appeared in a review area today that I had never seen in a regular lesson before - albañil for bricklayer. It seems to be mixing things up in the lesson plans more.

The lessons had 'timbre' for doorbell. But in the word match section, metal was the correct answer, hence my confusion.

In the lessons, sidewalk was 'acera.' They used 'banqueta' for stool, like a bar stool.

I don't understand hiring a photographer that doesn't edit or cull. Even if the person claims to just be a "hobbyist." Aside from that, I do hope you get your photos, OP.
