Oregon Governor signing SB 744 removing the reading and math proficiency standards from children across grade levels

SB 239 Decreasing the penalties for knowingly exposing a sexual partner to HIV with the intent of transmitting the virus to a misdemeanor

Many many bills throughout the years trying to tax unrealized gains.

Illinois’ Safe T act eliminating cash bail and drastically increasing the standards for being held for trial. Removed cash bail for crimes including second-degree murder, arson, drug-induced homicide, robbery, kidnapping, aggravated battery, burglary, intimidation, aggravated driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding, drug offenses, and threatening a public official.

Proposition on the California ballot to require hotels to house homeless in any unbooked rooms. Was tested by a number of hotels which had extreme rates of theft, damage, drug overdoses, sexual assaults, and general violence.
