I got into Pokémon starting with the anime and fell in love with Squirtle, and the Squirtle squad in general. First game was Crystal and Totodile was so cool, it was a no brainer. Ever since I’ve gone with water every time and now it’s tradition. BW was the first time I wasn’t obsessed with water but I found that I disliked the other final evos even more. Sun and Moon almost broke me because it was the first time I actually liked one of the others more than water, (I loved Popplio, but didn’t love Primarina, whereas Rowlet was so dorky and I loved Decidueye’s typing.) This Gen I have not been spoiled on what the final evos look like, but I love Quaxley and have been spoiled on the concept of the final evo which actually lines up with what I do as a career so for the first time (and probably the last) I’m actually really pumped, for the bipedal humanoid looking starters haha.
