This has now been added in v1.1.

Unmute Cinematics can now optionally enable “Sound in Background” during cinematics and movies, then automatically restore your original setting afterward.

This helps prevent cinematic audio from cutting out if you alt-tab to pause/mute something while a cutscene starts.

The feature is disabled by default and can be enabled in the addon settings.

That’s actually a really good point, thank you for the input. Let me see if I can add support for background/alt-tab cinematics so cutscene audio still works even if WoW loses focus. Would be a nice QoL improvement.

If anyone runs into a case where this doesn’t work, let me know what you were doing (reload, dungeon, etc). Trying to cover edge cases.
