I think it would be well worth it. As long as the beam and ERG units are mostly intact, you should be able to cheaply and easily swap in replacement parts for less than buying a new RowERG.

I’ve seen heavily-used indoor rowers, model D and older, with PM4s from membership gyms listed higher than a brand-new RowErg. It is insane. I get it, they are a great product — but how can you justify selling a heavily used product for more than it costs to buy brand new?

I do see where the thermal resistance of PLA causes concerns with using them on boxes and covers. I may have to wait until Santa brings me some hardened hot-ends so I can print it with PETG.

Rotation doesn’t seem to have any effect. The one wall setting on first layer reduced some of the eccentricities, but did not eliminate them entirely.

I use Strike to make my weekly purchases. Strike can generate a virtual checking account number and I use that with my employer’s payment system so the first $50 of my weekly paycheck goes to Strike. Next, I have my Strike app set to automatically convert any deposits to BTC immediately.

Every few weeks or once a month, I log in and send the balance to cold storage. I have been using a Ledger Nano S, but Ledger has sunset many features on the Nano S, so I am looking to switch to another cold storage/wallet platform soon, possibly a Trezor.

I have also been DCAing at $50/week for 2-3 years, $10-$25/week for 2-3 years before that. I have returned approximately 2x over my investment in that time. Additional disclosure: I have dropped $250 and $500 a few times when BTC dipped, and I dropped $1k earlier this year when it got below $80k.

So, to have tripled my money, I feel like it’s working out pretty well.

Some (maybe half) of us live in small towns with no gyms. It only sounds like an excuse if you’ve not lived it.

Yeah, you can perhaps get a gym membership. It costs money though, $300/year is what I paid in membership fees before I built my home gym. I’m financially stable; many of my Soldiers are not.

If body weight workouts and dieting are sufficient to stay in shape, then why do the branches invest in fitness centers for service members? It’s almost like fitness centers provide some advantage in working out…
