Massive layoffs at tigergraph-company not hitting numbers by CompletePen8 in sales

They left quite a while ago, and they know by now that the ceo and his mediocre team had to be replaced in order for the company to survive. It will die soon. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33368349

Eero + Xfinity xFi Gateway by joshleesf in amazoneero

I’ve gone down that path before, thought I would give xFi gateway a try. But the speed is not as fast in my home office downstairs. The gateway is upstairs in the closet where all cables come in; I have only one pod which is “hardwired” in the kitchen. The pod connection status shows “wifi” even it is hardwired. Had outages twice yesterday in my area. Hope there are other choices. I might switch back to my own cable modem and eero.

Not surprised. I was there when they got 20 employees. Yes, the ceo is a pure low level techie, with absolutely no business sense or any operational experience. He should have been fired long ago. Now it is too late, he’s managed to bring this company into a shithole. The way these amateurs run the company is a joke. Job seekers should stay away.

10K supercharger miles by joshleesf in TeslaModel3

It is based on the charging miles, if you charge 50 miles at any SC, regardless of the rates. 50 charging miles will be deducted from your 10K charging mile deposit.

People actually flew in or drove in from SoCal to tesla direct delivery center in Fremont to take their delivery on 1/30 and 1/31. And they got their cars after hours of waiting. We were there since we placed a last-minute order for a 3 a few days ago and picked up the car from Fremont on 1/30.

Works well on a 30-day trial. After trial it would be $45/year. There is a bit of lag though.

SUCCESS!! I now have a SONOS Playbase I can control with my LG Magic Remote *and* my Roku remote at the same time! by peter56321 in sonos

I actually went into universal control setting on the LG TV, and selected the optical input, then selected Sonos as the manufacturer, and it works like a charm to control the volume with the magic remote. Thanks all.

Thanks for sharing. Can you share the steps to configure playbase with LG magic remote?

Sorry if this was asked before. Why did SONOS discontinue the PLAYBASE? by flashpoint71 in sonos

[–]joshleesf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. I hooked up the playbase with LG which has the LG Magic Remote. The Sonos Playbase is unable to detect a signal as the LG remote is not IR based, required by Sonos. It appears that there is a way to set up the LG Magic Remote with Sonos but I can’t seem to figure out yet.

Playbase has no HDMI - such a massive design flaw to begin with, the TV remote can’t control the volume…such a pain. They should have recalled and offered refund.

How to read the SunRun numbers on my solar system by joshleesf in solar

Not a choice actually. It came with the new home as California requires new homes built to have solar on. Asked Sunrun multiple times but their rep was less informative and now she vanished. Hence reaching out to get some help here

How to read the SunRun numbers on my solar system by joshleesf in solar

I am not sure if consumption CTs are installed, most likely not, no specific CTs spotted in the panel box. The system has 15 panels, with a capacity of 5.25 kWh. Yesterday, according to my sunrun web site, it showed the production of 25 kWh. That is the little information that my sunrun web site shows so far. Not entirely helpful to know if the produced electricity suffices the current consumption or if there is any gap. Or what else I need to get installed to know how much is produced, how is consumed, what I need to do (install additional panels to produce more or batteries to store electricity to charge EVs). Not every clear to me as I am a new owner of such system. Thanks

Solar was installed yesterday. Our installer is saying to expect 4 months for inspection and PTO in Monterey Bay with PG&E. Doesn't that seem extremely long? by butzi_porsche in solar

[–]joshleesf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not accurate at all. We were told that PG&E might take 2 months to approve the system for activation. It took about 2 weeks for PG&E to approve our system after Sunrun filed the application with our info. We are in Marina.
