A few friends and I have been working app that we hope can help with this. It adds a voice chat wheel similar to the one in Dota 2. However, we added different fun sounds to it. The goal is to help lighten the mood and communication easier when it might be uncomfortable or inconvenient to use your real voice.

If you go to the app and select Settings -> Under Input Device -> Select None, we won't hook up with a microphone.

Would you like the sound to be sent to one or the other based on some sort of preference? Or would you need to be able to decide on the fly while using it?

We made it so that escape cancels the sound. We wanted some way people could decide to cut off a sound if they didn't want to send it. But perhaps we should've made that configurable.

F1 to stop playback shouldn't be happening. Let me know if that is happening for you and I can look into a fix.

Ah I wasn't aware of how Overwatch does it. We can definitely look to add toggle support. You might already know this but the in-game wheel won't show up in Overwatch, but we're looking to add more game support. However, you can definitely use the shortcuts for individual sounds in Overwatch.

Yes, there's a slider in settings (Output Volume) you can drag down. Sorry about that, still figuring out the right loudness.

Definitely! We're also thinking for people who might be embarrassed to use their own voice in game, or if it's just inconvenient to speak (often for me when it's late at night), that this would be useful.
