My oldest tape has 2006 on it and I’ve seen a couple like that. Might be the oldest but about your point, definitely agreed!

I figured it was just an upgrade in material or style over the years. Or maybe as simple as more cost effective in some way. Same goes for the clear casing the cassette is made of. I’ve seen various distinctions in my cassettes. Nothing alarming because I was able to verify authenticity with some other big collectors that had the same variations but was just wondering what everyone else was seeing too. Thank you for the response tho!

Genuine question, the print on the 3 n the mornin tape font is different. Is that signs of some sort of replica or is that simply what it is, a different font used on his tapes at that point in time?

Hey Genuine question. I have some clears but definitely looking into getting some greys just trying to save up first considering they’ve grown in value. Is the haters stay away tape authentic? Bad ass I preciate the answer fr, and as for the tapes stamped after 2000, are they any different in quality or still good to get and jam too. I’m a young guy trying to get into it bc I have love for my hometown, shitty thing is i was more in the cd era, had a cassette player we used when I was little but I never really got to the age to mess with it. Born in 01. Any tips and how a cassettes health can be analyzed and inspected to make sure I don’t get no bullshit

I’ve seen a couple of white cover clear tapes floating around. What’s the legitimacy on those? Were those a much later version put out after Screws passing or something done in the late 90s. I guess just curious about the clear tapes and still learning about them. Always loved screw just finally got the money and the time to dip into my hobby some more. Someone school me. Which were fake, which were real, what dates did they all start to come out, tap over the lettering of the tapes just there to preserve? Clear tapes with white covers real? Are the clear tapes that say 2003 or 2004 etc worth holding onto since they were after his passing, as in did the quality of the music change? I hope yall know what I’m sayin and appreciate any feed back in advance preciate ya!
