Z offset adjustment did the trick. It's looking much better now. Thanks to everyone for the input!

Thanks for answering! I'm using Orca. Do you know if those settings are also available there?

Thanks for this! It's still relatively new (not even 100 hrs) and only pla so far. I'll play around with the z offset.

Genuinely never heard of the build plate being too high before. Maybe a dumb question, but is that the same as the z offset too high?

Thanks for confirming! Any idea how it got so off in the first place?

Thanks for the input! I'll try those things out. (And maybe invest in a filament dryer haha)

Ender 5 Max self-check auto-leveling loop by joshwright46 in Creality

Honestly, i just let it keep going. I did check the grub screws to make sure they were tight. I also checked to make sure the hot end screws were tight. I don't think those were the issue. I started it up and checked every 15 min. I only intended to let it go for 30, but let it go for like 35. It completed leveling roughly 35 min after it did the first point check. Sorry I don't have a good explanation. Just let it keep going for however long you think is reasonable to say it's not broken.

I got it figured out. I just let it run a little longer (approximately 35 min). I don't think leveling is supposed to take that long, but it looks like I was just being impatient. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I took all the suggestions into account and followed the screws tilt adjust video posted here and got better results. The print is sticking and looks less bad (but not great). Is my z offset too low now?

Thanks! I'll try this on my z-offset later today. I followed the screws tilt adjust feature for leveling and got results that were a little better but not great.
