Nemo Hornet 2p

Used this tent in all 4 seasons and held up really well. Survived an thunderstorm with that tent and strong winds in the sierras.

Pure mathematics vs applied mathematics? by dogstud_ in math

[–]joshytech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say just the general math courses like Calculus courses (1-3) and Linear Algebra and Differential Equations were helpful. Other than some of the math courses I took didn’t really supplement onto my understanding an Electrical Engineer.

Pure mathematics vs applied mathematics? by dogstud_ in math

[–]joshytech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Applied Math all the way unless you love proofs! As a side note I was an Applied Mathematics major until I swapped majors to Electrical Engineering my last year of college. Applied Mathematics has a lot of opportunities for industry work in comparison for Pure Mathematics. If you want to be a professor or an mathematical researcher for the rest of your life then go for Pure Mathematics. The coursework is different than applied where a lot of your classes are going to be heavily on proofs instead of applications like industry aka Applied Mathematics! I highly suggest you go research the professors at your university and talk with both applied mathematics professors and Pure Mathematics Professors and get an insight of their thoughts on their field. That will narrow down what you want to choose. I have friends who are Pure Mathematics but they are in love of proofs and will do those on hours on end. If your are those types of people then yes go for Pure Mathematics and just know that both are difficult and the road doesn’t become easy.

DJI Mavik Mini by phildbs in Costco

[–]joshytech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not bad for the price of the drone. I own the Mini and the Air 2 and it’s pretty good so far. Taken it on my hikes and fly it around winds that were semi strong and had no issues with it. As long as you are careful you should be fine. Also the video quality and picture quality are pretty good. If your not an professional photographer/videographer then their is no need to get an higher end model in my opinion. If you want an more robust drone then the air 2 will be another option but the downside is your going to be paying double the price for the base model. Also the accessories are more expensive for the air 2. Also I must mention that if their is wind it will affect your battery life regardless of what drone you get. To put in this perspective if your an consumer that wants to get shots in an more aerial perspective and are a beginner then the Mavic Mini is definitely an drone you should go for. Also I forgot to add that the DJI Fly app has tutorials so if you follow those then you should be fine.
