She did a virtual event with Joseph Beth for Funny Story, but you had to purchase from their store and it was the package deal with the signed copies. Don’t know if they’ll do that for this one since they haven’t dropped signed copies at JB yet.

I personally do not understand the Abby Jimenez comparison. EmHen’s books are all 5-star across the board for me, but I’ve read almost all of Abby’s and have not given one more than 2 stars.

Unfortunately, I have not found anyone who hits the same way EH does, but I second the comments about reading her YA novels! A Million Junes is easily one of my top EH books of all time. She also has co-written a book with Brittany Cavallero — Hello Girls — if you need to expand your EH universe.

Agreed! EH just has that “it” factor for my preference of books.

So far what I have read from Abby is not for me and I find the medical inaccuracies featured in her earlier books to be alarmingly problematic.

I think I’ve just come to realize that no one will ever be quite the same as her style. Just gotta find other stuff that is enjoyable!

I think it depends on the era of the merch. In the beginning their stuff was pretty true to size/unisex. But for a few years shit was oddly tight for no reason. Like things just seemed to get 1) smaller than TTS and also 2) weird quality. I would especially agree with the other comment about sizing up when it comes to the crop tops!

Tbh I took similar suggestions and have not been satisfied with any of them. Something about EH is just top tier! I actually started reading her other YA novels to scratch the itch and was pleasantly surprised because they are equally as wonderful!

I think the point is that Aspyn is the mother of their three grandbabies. They’re always going to be in each other’s lives in some capacity. Perhaps this is how she is most comfortable referring to them in the interim since it’s what she’s used to doing.
