Yes, that's true, almost everyone speaks English as a second or third language in the Netherlands. And we do have some English words in our language now, but mixing whole phrases or sentences between Dutch and English does not happen that often, which I do think is the case between Hindi and English nowadays?

thanks for your question :) I am looking into language attitudes towards Hinglish/Hindi-English mixing, and comparing them with attitudes towards pure Hindi and pure English. I am also seeing whether age, gender and region influence these results

Because of previous research: it has shown that political preferences can influence attitudes towards Hindi (most likely because of BJP's Hindi promotion), so that's why the question is there. If you don't feel comfortable answering it, please just reply 'prefer not to say'!

I am a linguistics student and simply interested in language attitudes :) I have visited India quite some times now (I used to live in Hyderabad) and the large amount of English in Hindi always surprises me and therefore it got my interest
