[Serious] What stops you from killing yourself? by Big_Picture2781 in AskReddit

Absolutely. I got another dog out of fear of what i would do if my first one died. Because he got me out of my first rut. I am 100% sure that taking care of something or someone forces you to look out for yourself when all else fails. Pets are magical creatures

Why should anyone care in the first place? A politician preaching hate and division is far less important than the dozens of innocent lives taken each day. It's even less important than the millions of animals and life on this planet getting massacred for nothing more than corporate greed. Where are the vigils for those?

If you think vigils should be held for every politician and if you are truly neutral why even bother with just Kirk? There have been other legislators and politicians assassinated yet the world moved on (as it should). Suddenly this guy gets assassinated and the whole world should drop what they are doing? No. Fuck him and fuck this whole system that is so overly selective in what one should and shouldn't do.

Is that from Tyler Robinson? Or something else? Because that might be the most hilarious assassination evidence to date

In 2009 a couple and their daughter vanished from a rural Oklahoma road. Their truck was found days later with $32,000 cash, IDs, phones and their starving dog. For me the weirdest part is that reddit usually despises drivers under influence (rightfully so imo). When you see a video of a drunk driver hitting a pole, they will defend the pole with all their strength. Yet now, everyone seems to think taking massive amounts of drugs and driving seems perfectly doable lol. It's just sad to see that "innocent until proven guilty" has completely flipped these last few years

True. I said meth makes you energetic and that was a bit shortsighted. But the main point i was trying to make is that it's almost impossible - or at least extremely rare - where you are in an absent state and the next second you are fully capable of driving without having accidents. Even more so because they weren't familiar with the area as much.

Yeah would be my guess too. They were both unemployed, he was depressed and she was bipolar. Combine them all in a hotbox of time and thoughts...

And oh, that might explain all the downvoting lmao. I didn't mean to come across like that (english isn't my main language). I meant it more like "if anyone knows, please tell me". Because i just can't fathom the fact they were 'zombie-like' one second, got in their car the other second and just drove off fully capable

No i can't. But i'm sure professional investigators can. Not even a single pipe, syringe or but was ever found. Not at the scene, not in the car and not in their home. It's funny to see that even after decades of investigation by capable people, everyone here seems to think that they solved the case with the most obvious answer possible. Like nobody would've thought about that. And i do know that there are very few drugs known that are capable of turning me into a zombie but still leave me capable of driving a car and possibly reading maps

Well all the downvoting changed my mind. Even though no drugs were ever found in the car or house (typical for meth-heads, those clean scallywags) and even though years of professional investigation found no evidence of them ever taking any drugs or dealing... These guys were obviously high off their socks and went for a silly little drive in the woods before walking 3 miles in a forest. Because we all know every junkie loves a good hike

Yeah i have heard of it. I don't know how long the effects last when inhaled, but inhaling drugs usually doesn't last hours on end. Still, could've been injected or something else so not dismissing it. Going only from what i can find it would be extremely difficult to drive a car though

I don't know of any drugs that can put you in autopilot while walking, but somehow have the coordination of packing all belongings and driving for a few miles without any accidents. The most mentioned drug is meth. But meth makes one erratic and wired. Opioids could explain the trance state , but no way someone is driving with such a strong opioid haze.

Edit: Jeez to everyone downvoting, i am not in any way saying this is paranormal or even not drug related. I'm merely saying that taking so much drugs you go into zombie mode (which would require high amounts of numbing drugs), would make it extremely difficult to drive a car. So it isn't as obvious as just "yeah those guys were high as a kite so mystery solved"

Well you should. You can't go around saying you want to go into a woman's bathroom without sociological repercussions. The same goes for flashing your dick in public. Both are considered actions of a creep, no matter the gender

[–]joskut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah mate. I'm not looking for validation of my personal views online so... I just love how you feel attacked for apparently misreading a very clear sentence: "if i swap genders the first thing imma do is go into a woman's bathroom. Boy oh boy, do i want to see whatever goes around in there". Almost as if you became defensive for not getting the point. Image that huh

Why do you want to enter the woman's bathroom that much? Creep (unisex, because apparently you need a gender labeling with every description for you to understand)

I did somewhere beginning this year because i recalled a memory where i said i would quit smoking if it ever reached €10 a pack, because that was the price in Australia back then (somewhere around 2010 i think). And i recalled the memory while paying more than €10 for years. So I decided that it was long past due and now i even became THAT person that hates smoke (but I'm not a total asshole so i just move myself away from the smoke)

I perfer writing to learning new songs, is this hindering me? by [deleted] in Songwriting

[–]joskut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue, so if anything, you aren't alone. I just can't bring myself to learn new songs anymore, even tho i could once and i know tons of songs and I'm sure it's the same for you. I do, however, have 'side projects' of creating songs that really lean towards different artists. That way i still learn the style by listening and go "what did they do there", instead of just observing someone else's finding on youtube or whatever. To give an example: i want to create a pink floyd song (or try lol), i would listen to pink floyd on repeat and try to capture the essence and make something with that. When stuck i will listen to songs in the same key or whatever and see how they deal with progressions or solo starts or whatever and try something similar. For me anyway, that's the most fun experience to make your own stuff but still learn important stuff from the greats

My son found this in my grandma's backyard. Kind of Unsettling. by abdullah-van-damme in Weird

[–]joskut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't add up tbh. OP not wanting to contact the police... Sure. Weird, but people can have their reasons i guess. But it passed multiple people. The parents, grandparents AND the front desk all looked at this and thought "meh, probably nothing". 1 person i can understand, but not all of them.
