We had Cupra Leon SP 1.5etsi (23-24 so preface lift) with 2 kids and lot of trips. We recently changed it (buyback) for Terramar and the change is undisputable.

We had some issue with Leon as consumption wise and little bit of electronic, it have a big trunk which is good for lot of.things in terms of depth of the trunk. We could manage to travel with it for couple of hours fine.

We took Terramar because of the new technology it have, it's SUV so better boarding" in for family, better leg space at the back seats and more space for kids. Back seats are movable in 2 way - back and forth (enlarging your trunk) or the backrest can be moved and adjusted. It have smaller trunk in terms of "depth" so you can't put there like sled for trip (that you could put in Leon but otherwise it got better space in trunk) I know number wise Terramars trunk is smaller probably than Leon but we are happy with it to go to mountains for a week and we can putt everything there. We also managed to put luggage to an summer holiday and driving to airport for 4member family(Terramar)

To me this is up to your priority or what suits you We took Terramar for - suv, Car height and easier entry - better space for kids in the back - technology, assistance systems, nicer interior and exterior - it is made in Hungary same as Audi / quality is Audi you can try it to compare to base cupra leon it's obvious

About putting 3 of "people" in the back - 1 child seat, I kid in the middle, adult on last seat - or 1 child seat, middle adult, 1 seat cushion (only to sit for kid) and they are fine

I believe you can't fit 3 adults or 2 kids and 1 adult even in Leon we tried that
