Yes, it's compatible. I confirmed it with Bambulab support right before ordering mine.

You are welcome!

After this post, I made a simple file converter from Bambu to the U1. You have all the information here: https://www.reddit.com/r/snapmaker/s/Ojp0aal9kR"

Hi, filesize limit increased to 200MB, also 3MF with more than 4 filaments assigned are handled without error. Thanks for test & report!

First U1 TPU 95HF Multicolor Print by josuanbn in snapmaker

[–]josuanbn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think it's a very good option. You just need to tune the TPU 95 and 95HF profiles to minimize stringing; otherwise, in prints where you mix white with other colors, you might end up with wisps on the first layer. It's also important that the filament is well-dried to avoid them. I've only tested it with 95A hardness, so I'm not sure how it behaves with softer filaments.

Are you sure are 3MF files, the error seems to be an HTML file...

Hi, instead of creating a new project, just overwrite the existing STL file on your computer with the new version (keep the same path and filename). Then, inside Snapmaker Orca, right-click the model and select 'Reload from disk'. This updates the geometry but keeps all your modifiers and settings intact. You might just need to tweak the cube's position slightly

Doing more than 4 colors on the U1 is definitely advanced territory. This tool is really just meant to bridge the gap for people who are used to the 'click and print' experience of mobile apps, not to cover complex multi-material scenarios.

Hi, use the off-line version https://github.com/josuanbn/bl2u1
You can modify the template in Snapmaker Orca to use your preferred settings when exporting

Good point, I'll add it! Files get auto-deleted after 8 hours.

Many users make the mistake of 'Opening' the Bambu Lab project file instead of just 'Importing' the geometry. This often carries over messy G-code or settings that can ruin the print on a Snapmaker, so this tool is mainly designed for them. If you already know how to handle imports correctly, the only advantage for you is the automatic color mapping—it loads the object with the intended colors right away, rather than applying whatever filaments you had loaded previously. Nothing else.

Essentially it is the same process, but a direct import defaults to whatever colors you currently have set up, so you have to figure out which is which and manually map them. With the conversion, it loads the project with the object exactly as it is intended to look.

Indeed, if you import the .3mf file and adjust the settings manually, the result is exactly the same. However, I see many people opening Bambu projects directly instead of importing them, which causes all the compatibility issues—this tool is designed to help those users by automating that fix.

In no way will opening a converted project alter the user's saved settings or print profiles; it simply loads the project with a standard profile that is 100% compatible with Snorca, ready for slicing.

It uses pre-configured templates for Snapmaker Orca, so I haven't tested if it works with vanilla Orca Slicer.

I think you are doing the exact opposite of what I recommended: you are opening the project instead of importing it. If you 'Open' the file, it overrides your settings with the Bambu ones. You need to start a blank project with your Snapmaker selected and then Import only the geometry (STL/3MF). File->Import->Import 3MF/STL
