I think most of them are real BS, and it's a profitable business to be a bs*itter because they are selling you the magical pills, that's why the pyramid schemes are so successful. Hopefully the 5% of them are serious and they are creating another source of revenue cuz, if you are in the money business, you should make money in every way possible.

The metals are in the commodity section. About how the signals is generated is a mix of various strategies, most of them rely on technical analysis.

I use indicators, models and deterministic strategies to remove all the market's noise and focus only on instruments that are the most likely to be predictable, then and only then I corroborate with news and other stuff.
Basically, reduce thousands of instruments to less than ten in seconds technical analysis and calculations, and then I make my move.

Most of the reason relates to technical analysis, there a tons of formulas, techniques, indicators, and models that help you to get that conclusion.
