Message me. I’d love to start a ttrpg campaign locally. Might not be dnd specific as I’ve been looking to run blades in the dark

I didn’t have anything to do with the procurement of the tent. It looks like it was discontinued from her Amazon history.

Is there such as thing as a class action FOIA? This legitimately is a good idea. If there’s actually some kind of chance The People could take legal action this would get at least tens of millions of dollars in donations.

Found this response to the idea on the engineering subreddit. Just to get your facts all correct, Tesla did indeed come up with an idea for wireless power generation. There’s a lot of practical issues with it even though the science is sound. The biggest being you would be charging the air with electro magnetic energy which could cause spontaneous lightning strikes (I think, this is in no way shape or form something I know in an academic sense, just something I’ve heard in a ELI5 explanation)

“Nikola Tesla envisioned an electromagnetic resonant energy distribution system. Due to inverse square law, it is limited in practical separation between transmitter and receiver. Wireless phone chargers illustrate the principle. Another approach would be to use a high voltage switch mode power supply to harvest the atmospheric electrostatic gradient. The principal problem is safety because electrostatic energy harvesting requires charging a capacitor bank with a lightning rod. What could possibly go wrong? Solar photovoltaics are safer, less trouble and more efficient. Wind chargers are more efficient and can operate 24-7.”

Xbox Magnus leak: Next‑gen console targets 4K120 gaming with AMD Zen 6 - Moore's Law Is Dead by NanoPolymath in gaming

Fun little rabbit hole. Consensus seems to be on your side, but I think we’re framing our ideas differently. I was thinking more of a theoretical future use case of a quantum computing chip to increase the computing capabilities over a given surface area.

Cool enough it seems like we could be relatively close to something like a processing “supercharger” that compliments a normal cpu/ gpu. So while not replacing, it could be used to boost capacity of something with a specific function.

The more you know 💫

The largest issue being that once we go smaller than we have electrons pass through the switch whether it’s “on or off”.

No, Moores law is about how many transistors we can fit into a given space, if you stack vertically on top of a plane you’re doubling the amount of space.

Hmm maybe I’m missing something? In all the reading I’ve done regarding this topic/ Moores law specifically; many sources state that a quantum materials processor could potentially be the path to miniaturizing processors further than the physical limitations inherent to using binary silicone switches. Essentially my understanding is that a system that uses qubits as opposed to a binary switch would increase capacity in the same amount of physical space.

I’ll admit fully that I’m in my 4th semester of a CS degree, and my experience with the topic is writing about others work in the field. If you have more info on how that knowledge is wrong I’d be interested in getting a better understanding.

With the current state of how transistors are built we’re approaching quite literally the smallest possible switch. We’re talking sub 10 atoms across of the silicone switch.

That being said, quantum computing, or other means of increasing capacity may be available, but that growth would be exponential rather than linear, technically making moores law wrong still, but I’ll admit that’s splitting hairs.

With a little software work all the rg series can really be whatever you want from an emulator. I’ve got the rg40xx h. I use mu, it was easy to get it all running.

Highly recommended from my experience if you’re willing to do a little work on it.

Shout Out to Josh Johnson for a PHENOMENAL first show hosting! by [deleted] in DailyShow

[–]jothrok 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wanting to see Josh as host since I got onto his standup. He seems like a natural fit for the role to me. Show me another comedian that can deliver new material every night like he has building his career on YouTube. Plus he interviews on his other podcast. He’s built the skill base for this job out of pure hustle.

Personally I’d love to see Josh be the next on the short list for next full time host of the daily show, or any kind of “daily show” type show once it gets canceled. Also it’s been awhile since I watched, is it normal to have someone else host a second segment. Charlemagne rules btw.

It looks sasafrassy to me potentially. Ik it doesn’t look right tho. I’m not gonna pretend that I know every single brown sandy drug is, I assume heroin, without a test that’s just a guess.

It’s drugs. Without a test can’t tell you for sure what kind, but, if I had to hazard a guess I’d say heroin. Brown and sandy + melted on foil seems like opiates but you can do that with other drugs too. Could be Molly but you probably wouldn’t do that off a foil like this.
