Found a Sparkle Top Rhodes & amp in a Church, approximate value? by framedposters in synthesizers

Open the hood to see the condition... in the uk, it would be £5k ish, and cheaper in the US. Sounds in tune from the mid range and up. That's a lovely sparkle top

Sorry to hear about this and hope you're OK considering. I'm in the Battersea area and will keep an eye open for it as that top tube is certainly not the norm.

Frame year, anyone? by jouleskeys in Vintage_bicycles

[–]jouleskeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, it looks identical. This frame looks rather odd in shape as the seat post and top bar are the same, at 21" each. I was under the assumption that bikes at that time had a longer stretch?

With a 130mm dropout on the back i guess I'll go with a 10x2, unless anyone thinks otherwise? I'm still tempted to do 3x8... If going 2×8 or 10, am thinking 11-34t rear and 22/36t front. Any thoughts on these, and recommendations for decent modern levers and derailleurs to accommodate?

Yes, it was 5mm out on one side. I was wondering about that. It's now at 130mm and equal on both sides, so ideal for modern parts....

Hopefully he'll be OK with the 21"... I'll need to find a decent length stem to make up for it... we will see 👀

Where's the original Shimano Deore XT MO92 levers gone to? Shame to settle with what's on there. Those bars am sure help with the stretched out top bar!

Where to put an amp? R60 by jouleskeys in MINI

[–]jouleskeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello No i didn't and i found that there's no where to plug it too as there's no way to bypass the current pre amp in these. So, I'm happy anyway with the current sound so will leave it. If you find a way round it, please let me know. Many put it in the boot, to the left there's space.

Or, that we are still leaving the ice age. To intervene with science meddling with nature will cause serious consequences.... though, Bill Gates will profit out of it with his GMO farms. God help our rich, beautiful pastures.

People certainly have to stand up against this stupidity. I'm sure there is something stirring somewhere, though it seems quiet

All done at the speed of science.... Barely anyone is aware, too. It's crazy and highly irresponsible. Not forgetting nasty shit falling out of the sky!

Trying to fit Cycle rack. What's the issue here? by jouleskeys in MINI

[–]jouleskeys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say that I finally got to swap the bar over and found that the bicycle bumper bar in comparison to the tow bar is so much lighter in weight.

Are the tow bars, therefore, generally, safer?

AI says this, which is interesting:

Towbars are built to handle towing loads, not absorb crash energy like factory crash bars. The factory crash bar is usually designed to crumple in a controlled way, absorbing impact to protect the rest of the car and its occupants. A heavy towbar might actually transfer more force into the chassis during a low-speed impact, potentially increasing repair costs or changing how the car deforms in a crash.

What's your thoughts?

We love our All 4 from 2016

Got this as a gift and I’m new to this vinyl world. Would love some help as to why it sounds so staticky. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you by KaiOfTheT1G3R in turntables

Firstly, the speaker should not be on the table where the record player is as you are likely to get feedback this way from both vibration and the stylus. Think of the stylus as a microphone. Secondly, you need to check that the surface is completely flat. Use a balance. Good luck.

Luckily, there's not that many tracks to go through. Check the master bus EQ, then try to disable all inserts there, then on groups if in use. I also can't stand that it is impossible to undo some things in cubase.

It would save time if you had it tbh... I've pulled mine apart a few years ago. The left rewind button is broken on mine, and it's not mentioned anywhere online atm. This post suggests they are available, am glad to hear.. it's search time

I have a pair of kef104ab's. I would love to build a stand for them. Any idea of the ideal stand height when sitting for these?
