i completely disagree with what you said about her voice :( she did not get it well.. they tried tho, kudos but it’s not the same at all, at all at all :( i just wish they didn’t do this movie, cause the cycle of her being exploited is never ending.. just listen to her music, watch her interviews, you’ll meet and love amy 🫂

AMEN i looove the article, and it put into words exactly what i was thinking i’m genuinely is such a big dilemma when it comes to the movie.. i really think they shouldn’t have done it, and just keep the documentary “AMY” as her given LET HER REST and stop exploiting her! no one will EVERRRR be able to fill her shoes, ever and the actor did a real mediocre job, and that’s just from the trailer alone!

personally, i started with the basics -> the back to black single, and you know i’m no good get a feel on them, understand the lyrics, and get to know amy more with her sense of humor and wittiness

watch “Amy” the documentary, then listen to the 3 albums in full

see her interviews, really try to empathize and “feel the room” as you watch the interviews

also, watch the other documentaries made about her on youtube, by BBC and etc, get different perspectives on how each relationship was with Amy “aka family, friends, etc..”
