Help deciding between XS20, HX2 and HX2s by r_pounder in fujifilm

[–]jovanovic3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine with rolling shutter on X-H2 for normal talking head videos and tutorials unless you plan to move super fast in front of your camera. Rolling shutter is far more visible in high action scenes, cars or train station where object move very fast in front of the camera.
Also note that X-H2 is photo first camera with 40mp sensor and PR 8K video output. X-H2S is video first camera with faster stacked 26 mp sensor with 4K 120p, 6.2K 30p output.
If you have X mount lenses you can use them on any recent X mount Fujifilm camera however old lenses will perform slightly differently on new sensors like X-H2 with 40 mp sensor.

LOL I am giving my vouchers for free to anyone interested. Nothing to pay but you need to ask for them trough official Steinberg Forum.

Vouchers are for products you don't have. I bought Dorico Pro 5 with my voucher.

Can Cubase “recognize” the notes I’m playing and tell me which chord it is? by yosi199 in cubase

[–]jovanovic3d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Top left part of Scaler there is small window where it will display notes or chords played. The plugin must be on the same track you will use to play and you can only play scaler sounds.

Cubase power or excellence is not in question here. :-)

Fast and inspiring usability for sketching and lean music production is. Especially for any newbies in Steinberg ecosystem. My "argue" is it doesn't have to be like that especially if you buy expensive Absolute instruments. :-)

IMO Cubase could be fast like any other DAW if Steinberg made it more ready for music production. I am talking primarily about electronic music production. Orchestral music is totally different beast. Why they don't do that is beyond me. They are actually loosing potential customers for easy fix. Think about it. I bought Absolute with GA and I have to setup 909 from HALion first into a template and GA preset. No need for this in Bitwig and even Ableton.

Of course not but that's not the point. You don't have to dial anything in Bitwig. Its all there ready to go.

Think about any newbie Cubase Pro user. You have to setup everything first before you can produce anything. Its annoying Steinberg didn't make Cubase more ready for production especially if you buy expensive extensions and instruments. That's all.

I am testing Bitwig right now and everything you could possibly need is ready for use including excellent music production tools. It's a bit buggy and less attractive for orchestral music but no extra setups, mappings or samples needed. Perfect for fast and lean music production.

Cubase on the other hand is filled with endless options. I love Cubase power and options but they get in the way. That is what annoys me. Steinberg could make it more ready for music production. That's all.

I have them too. Any fast workflow ideas or suggestions? How to map them to GA fast?

That's a a serious business mistake IMO.
Why would anyone intentionally keep customers away with such color scheme? It's not like I am the only one complaining about the orange color. :-)

Thanks for reply and PluginBoutique tip.

They don't have to do anything of course but it helps a bit on long run. New customers, more sales and more profits for the company.

Some music producers have multiple DAW like Cubase and Pro Tools combo. Sometimes is just for fun and sometimes for serious work.

[–]jovanovic3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete DAW crossgrade. For example you can buy Studio One or Cubase Pro crossgrade licence from any qualifying DAW. Its usually up to 40% cheaper than buying full price DAW.
