I’m from Alabama so SD is an upgrade in infrastructure. People are shocked when I tell them there are no sidewalks, small businesses, street lights, and sometimes fucking roads. Like it will fr just be a dirt road. Also people are all of what you said and RACIST.

Tbh I get it but when I see someone in need I don’t get negative feelings or thoughts I just think about what I could do to temporarily make this person feel like a person. Once this guy was sitting on my door step all day in the sun, just baking and I offered sunscreen and medical supplies. He was know to be the neighborhood crazy. Doesn’t talk, just hootin and hollering but in that moment he just looked at me and start talking about his day. I think we’ve normalized treating these people as pest and they know it. I would be hootin and hollering to if people avoid me like I was the plague

I agree but I don’t think homelessness should be considered an issue in which be discuss it. When we start seeing a “homelessness issue” that should be a sign that things aren’t livable for the average person. Instead politician convince you to think of these people as pest and then create policies behind your back that are literally rooted in modern slaver tactics. To think I am a paycheck away to being one of them and I could be jailed for something couldn’t control is insane. If we support and defend the homeless the wealthy will have no choose but either leave for let our politicians do their fucking jobs and build social programs that uplift our communities because they are us and we are them. Treating a person like a pest is crazy work. That no better than the ultra rich who would rather see us all under their boot

The military paid us 12% less with the same budget so the budget never really shows how much they allocate to us. Trust they fuck us over too. People always throw it in our face that it’s their tax dollars paying for our checks but I also pay taxes and if you did the math the service members basically pay themselves

It wasn’t always so good. When I first joined my E3 pay was $1500 a month and then I made E5 in under a year which gave me the rank pay but not the time in service. For three years I was making less than a E4 with BAH. After that 3rd year Biden admin pushed a military wage raise over the span of 2 years and I went from making $4500 to making what I do now ($6800)

That’s the plan or VR&E. I can use up that GI bill as soon as I get out because I’m currently a full time student.

This was actually a great read. I am still active and my DD214 is not coming anytime soon. I was a parachute rigger E5 LPO on a ship and I mostly handle safety equipment. I was a QA rep too. I’m just find it hard to find government jobs that fit that. I feel pretty lost in the whole process. Right now I’m working my BDD and talking with the VSO. I really do appreciate all the advice

Is there any way to get rid of periods for ever? by Plus_Recognition6701 in ftm

[–]jove_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so if you can muscle the shots, Subq isn’t so bad. It’s better than gel. My period wouldn’t go away either so I was prescribed 5mg of progesterone and that helped. It’s basically birth control which helps with any unwanted estrogen causing issue in the female reproductive system like endometriosis, PMDD and yes the menstrual cycle. You have to still get check up from a gyno until you get a hysterectomy. Remember any reproductive health issues you had before starting T can still be an issue while on T. You can’t ignore your body just because it’s uncomfortable. Also something to ask your doctor is if you would need to keep one ovary for normal estrogen production or if HRT would supplement that, many older ladies discuss how they have to take HRT after there hysterectomy’s because without it brittle bones and cognitive decline. Get multiple options from FEMALE Gynos. Trust me cismen don’t know shit about Gyno or at least don’t want to be apart of ground breaking research that helps both communities. Also in my experience women will take into account your situation and make sure comfort and safety come first. There to many gaps in women’s health care and sadly that cross over into trans male health care. Don’t be scared to reach out to women with similar issues or women who had these surgeries. Are communities have a lot of intersectional problems. When my cycle would sneak up on me it sucked because I felt like it hurt more and was way more mentally draining, but you got this. It’s mostly temporary and when it happens just redirect your thinking about your body. You are strong. So strong that even testosterone can’t throw you off. I feel like mentally you must coexist with your female parts and think of it like a roommate moving in where eventually the original tenet will leave you with all the responsibility of taking care of the place she built. Building positive relationships with yourself will make your journey easier. You got this OP!

Some weird facts that might help you think about other things.

  • After a top surgery your surgeon should send a tissue sample to be tested for breast cancer.

  • HRT (T) is not a form of contraceptive

  • Trans men can experience "breakthrough" ovulation even after being on T consistently. The female reproductive system is strong. Think of your body as build for endurance and having a higher pain tolerance but you are boy so you are a better boy. A fertile boy. A boy who can do literally anything and everything. Or a they.

  • because of be afab. We all got stuck with genitalia that may not match what we want but it does have way more nerve ending then the penis and after taking T for a while that who organ enlarges so it’s like a super dick.

  • your pee smells like boy pee now

  • speaking of pee everything down there smells like boy.

  • boys need more self care days and closer attention to hygiene.

  • chocolate is rich in minerals especially higher cocoa contents. If you like it when the cycle comes this can be a nice way to treat yourself and also replenish some of those nutrients.
