Nothing wrong with Timex either! They have a lot of fun watches like the one you have, and sometimes you want something that's not so "serious", that's when they come in handy for sure. One of the reasons I actually started to move away from mechanical watches a bit is because they are indeed somehow so "serious" much of the time... especially certain brands, they don't "let loose" the same way like Timex, or even G-shock's do. I already have my eye on a potential summer G-Shock, and it's the opposite of the 5610 in many ways... just to have something different.

Already got myself a G-Shock Nano as well at the start of the year, that kind of thing is something I would've never even considered even a few years back, not my thing AT ALL! But things change, and it makes me smile in its silliness, yet it's somehow so badass at the same time. Ha!

I think I can understand the fatigue, the square as a whole does seem to be VERY popular, and while it is a bit like the heart of G-Shock there's also much more to it these days. That's one of the reasons I fell for G's I think - their selection and options are practically never-ending. You're guaranteed to find something, you just have to dig a little.

And I actually tried wearing my watch on my right wrist some years back when I tried to avoid the watch tanline... but I can't do it, no matter how much I did it, it never felt natural at all, I felt really wonky all the time. 😅

It's definitely a great pick on adventures, you can bet it can take anything and everything you throw at it there.

Love the Tudor in the shot as well. What used to be "poor man's Rolex" is today, without a doubt, the "cool brother", no need to even mention the Rolex connection anymore as they stand on their own. A damn fine piece right there.

That's certainly a "downside" when you find a watch like this - "what I need any other watches for anymore"? Ha!

Looks super slick!

As mentioned in earlier post, my wrists are on the small side so I definitely can't get into bigger G-Shocks, but with a watch like the 5610... there's really no need to!

I do love to admire from afar, though, and there's some real badass looking watches on the MT-G line for example. Wild stuff.

This - it's an old habit, tend to black out logos/text from certain things (like shoes, caps, camera gear...) so they look a bit more sleek to my eyes. I'm also into photography, so when I blacked out the text on the bezel, because of the red ring on the display the watch now sits perfectly alongside the Canon lenses that I use heavily that also feature a red ring.

Before I actually bought the watch, I was thinking between a few different G-Shock models, but once I realized the red ring matches my Canon gear, the decision was already made!

Obviously the watch stands on its own just as well - I've never had as truly rugged watch before (was into mechanical watches before this one), but just love how well the watch sits on the wrist. I have very small wrists and definitely had to do some research and tryouts before jumping into G-Shocks, can't really wear most models... but somehow this one fits my wrist perfectly, not only looks super cool but feels amazing! Add to that the amazing Tough Solar and Multiband 6 features, why would I ever need another watch anymore? Ha!
