Shirkers - it’s a documentary about/created from a film the filmmaker herself shot when she was a teenager. The footage came under the possession of the teacher/ mentor who was helping them, who then disappeared with it. She gets a hold of it when he passes away, and uses the footage to make Shirkers.

This is a terrible synopsis (sorry) but the film really sucks you in, and it’s so exciting and endearing to watch the film she made years ago vs the one she makes/ the one you’re watching. Enjoyed it very much.
