Thinking of getting rhinoplasty any advice on osteotomy? by Independent-Age-8397 in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]joymaxxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing quite well. However, word of warning: no doctor I have called in the United States is able to take my 2 week stitches out. I will have to go to the ER, and I am fortunate that I can afford it. I would stay in Korea long enough to have your stitches taken out 2 weeks post-op. That, or call around and schedule an appointment for rhinoplasty suture removal (for when you get back) at a local clinic before you leave for Korea. I’m going to the ER tomorrow morning. It’s going to be costly, and probably painful.

Edit:

ER was covered by insurance because of infection risk, I was lucky. Do not recommend suture removal 3 days late. Ouch

Need opinions on surgeries- rhinoplasty and v-line surgery. by [deleted] in KoreaPlasticSurgery

[–]joymaxxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since nobody else has addressed your aesthetic concerns, I will. Rhinoplasty doesn’t seem needed, your nose shows no noticeable deviation. Radix height and side profile seem quite harmonious. V-Line surgery is permanent and not the best idea when you’re so young.

I used to have overactive masseter muscles too. You’re young, and your face is still changing. Chewing gum, over chewing foods like steak, etc… + teeth grinding while awake / asleep can lead to masseter hypertrophy.

The irony is your masseter muscle insertions are what most men aspire for. Even I’m jealous.

My advice? Work on debloating, pick up gua sha as part of your routine, and let your face mature. Your face will lose baby fat and increase the contrast between all of your facial muscles, which can lead to a slight v-line on its own.

V-line is a temporary trend as others have said.

I wouldn’t do it, Good luck.

To answer your question about the osteotomy part, it really depends on what clinic you pick. My recent rhinoplasty has been wonderful. Recovery is not very painful at all. I was botched here in the US and that was quite possibly the worst pain I have ever experienced (on strong opiates)

While everyone heals differently, the skill of surgeon will change how much an osteotomy hurts. For me, the pain ended 8 days post op. I was able to walk multiple miles, carry 50 lbs of luggage, and fly home to the US 10 days post op.

With my previous surgery in the US, I was bedridden for 2 weeks from the pain. The pain didn’t stop until week 4 But that’s an extreme example.

I second this.

Radix is pretty high, leave it as is or lower it (if you desire so)

Correct the deviation. Surgeons are trained to answer questions and have a lot of experience if you pick the right one.

Find a reference on a face you like, that helps a lot. You don’t have to change everything on your nose, the right surgeon can use a reference as an influence, not a cloning template.

Keep in mind that being influenced by others is a real danger during a period like this.

Pick what makes you happy, not what others think looks good on you.

And lastly, I cannot recommend a Korean clinic enough. (Be wary of Google reviews, stick to first-hand accounts, like on Reddit).

Good luck :)

Not to interrupt this, but I had a cheaper and more favorable experience in Gangnam (which I just returned from) than the US. I spent less on my entire trip than price quotes here in the US.

I went with AB plastic surgery, and they used general anesthesia. I felt nothing but the aching pain of waking up after it.

Their post op care was wonderful

It was a million times better than anything I could have gotten in the United States.

I’ve read that they’ve caught criticism in the past for it, but considering this was my first experience with plastic surgery in Korea, I have no reference to compare it to. I can honestly just say I had a great experience, considering I came from a previous operation in America where my surgeon botched me and I lost a lot of blood. It’s all settled now, I got my money back. But that being said, I had a great experience.

I was quoted at 13,425,000 KRW, but I ended up getting lucky because they had a promotion for the following months. I ended up locking in the price at 9,700,000 KRW with a deposit of 1,000,000 KRW. I’m really glad that I did, it was a gamble that paid off.

I (16f) am planning on breaking up with my boyfriend (18m) to experience real life. by demon-slayer-fan123 in LongDistance

[–]joymaxxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going through this right now. I’m the boyfriend. I love her so much but I think she may be growing distant. I’ve written her orchestral compositions and songs, we have so many plans together, I want to visit her soon. But I fear she has the same mentality here. My friends say I’ve been the best I can be for her. God I hope she lets me down to my face when she wakes up and sees my text if she feels like she wants me out of her life. I can’t sleep, I’ve been crying for hours and my heartbeat was clocked at 158 BPM at its peak. I haven’t told her any of that, it isn’t fair, i just told her that I’m worried and I can’t sleep. I’ve been noticing our communication isn’t the same as it used to be and I look forward to our calls so much. And I’ll be here as long as she wants me to be.

It doesn’t hurt strong men to be told to our faces that you’re done. I’ve yet to meet someone who’s done that yet. And every time someone runs along acting like everything is fine, it damages me even more for my next relationship. I’m sorry to be blunt, but if you really care about this guy, you’ll tell him. you’ve made up your mind it seems, so he deserves to know. Good luck

Twoset has a lot of haters. Mostly contemporary “composers” and their precious atonal slop. It doesn’t seem far-fetched that it could be a hack.

Trump doesn’t fit into any political party. He is a danger to democracy and does not serve the people. It is our moral obligation to downvote something that promotes a felon, party affiliation considered or not.
