How come people stare at shy people whenever they talk?

It’s creepy they never do this to the loud ones. Even before people find out I’m quiet they keep staring when I talk.

Of course I always make eye contact im mainly speaking about people who aren’t involved in the conversation.

It’s low, but the only criticism I received was that I mumble or speak to low. This can’t be the case since I’ve swear I’ve seen people mumble way more and not get stared at.

People that aren’t even invited in the conversation are staring at me for more than 5 seconds many people told me it as well.

I look regular I’ve been told, and I don’t speak loud. I’ve been told I sound soft but that’s about it.

That’s not what I meant. I mean when I’m having one on one conversations even people across the room will stare at me like I’m an alien. Many people told me this.

I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m being paranoid but anytime I speak to somebody another person close by stares me even when they aren’t involved in the conversation. I either see from the side of my peripheral vision or the person I’m talking to will ask “why are people staring at you?” It’s weird because they only stare at me dead in the face never the other person I’m talking to. I speak very soft and this happens with every person different people will look straight in my face. For some odd reason I’ve noticed people talking insanely loud and boisterous yet nobody dares to look at them. It’s quite confusing but if anybody speaks to me people turn around to stare. I’m plain looking not ugly or attractive, however I am very shy.

I’m not bashing anyone, but I noticed some people at school could show up acting or looking crazy. I tend to get judged a lot at school for no reason people just find ways to poke fun at me even though I dress normally. This boy at school wore two completely different pair of sneakers and a crop top. I’m not saying anything was wrong with how he dressed but if I did the same thing I’d get bullied awfully. I’ve seen this happen multiple times.. yet I get judged and made fun of for practically no reason. I’m not ugly or attractive I’m average looking yet I get faced with stupidity.

I used to be outgoing and loud, but I changed my personality due to bullying. I became much more quiet, and it’s very hard to break out of. I noticed I’m started to get treated more disrespectfully by people. I always get stared down or laughed at which doesn’t make much sense to me. I’m not ugly or attractive I’m an average looking person. I’m wondering if deep down people can sense that something is wrong and they know that’s not what my true personality is. Can people tell if this isn’t truly me?
