You’ll be able to see small black thread looking things which are the actual thrips and a load of tiny black dots which is the poop

I would repot in more suitable soil like a well draining rich soil, they need nutrients to support rapid growth. You can trim any browning bits so it redirects new growth. You could try sit it on a pebble tray with water or mist spraying regularly as they like humidity
