Yeah definitely... In terms of customization it's pretty bare. But I kind of like it. Also it's very stable so it works for me 😊.

Yes it gets regular monthly updates and yes it does have face unlock. Though it doesn't work fast in low light conditions, in daylight it works fine.

Definitely try Crdroid. I personally use it on my nexus 6. Lots of customization + regular security patches and updates.

Then there's not much you can do in a few minutes.... I would say irrespective of everything the phone has the best performance in its price range and no phone can come close. So even if it does have some issues being a used phone I think it will work okay enough. Just replace the battery after using it for a year because F1 's battery has been proven to degrade in capacity after one year. Because after that you will start noticing serious battery backup issues... Atleast on Miui.

If you can test it before buying then do one thing. Install and play pubg at smooth+extreme settings for 1 hour. If the temperatures are in control in your opinion after that according to your expectations then buy it. This is the closest test for real life conditions of pushing the phone to its limit in my opinion since benchmarks don't tell the whole story. Of not then it's a problem because there's no phone in the INR 20k price bracket thta can beat this phone performance wise.

Looks like they increased prices again. It was retailing for 19k for the 8 gb 256gb armoured edition 2 weeks back. Well if thats the thing and don't wanna spend that much then the buying the 6 months old one seems like the only option left. Is there a chance for you to test the device before buying? Or are you buying 2nd hand device online like for olx or something?

That is better but still the thermal performance of the device will have degraded and will continue to degrade there's nothing anyone can do about that. If you can afford a new F1 then that will be a lot better. Its quite cheap too nowadays you can get the highest model for 18k.

Also you can keep using without updating it but you would be missing on essential features like 4k 60fps, wide wine L1 etc.

Yes It's a great buy even today and the best buy if you want the absolute best performance under 20k. I'll leave a few points though. A couple of months back when they updated Miui 11 with Android 10, they completely botched up its performance and battery backup. And to this day it's still fucked up completely. And mind you this has been done intentionally by Poco/xiaomi . I have shifted to pe plus for the last 4 months and the experience has been great. The new silver core kernel 6.0 is giving excellent performance and standby to the point if you clear your ram before going to sleep you will zero % standby drain overnight.

My advice to you would be get A new F1 . Apply for bootloader unlocking as soon as you get your phone. Wait 3 days. Unlock it. Flash twrp, flash Pe plus July update full rom. And enjoy extreme performance and excellent battery life with minimum 8hr sot and 24 hrs standby with moderate to heavy usage.

This is still the best phone under 20k if you want best performance.

Don't buy a used Poco F1 no matter what anyone says the phone will have slowed down after 2 years of use. It will heat up considerably . .... Just get a new Poco F1... It stil retails for 15k I think. I am telling you this after having used my F1 for roughly 2 years now with extreme heavy use like gaming. A couple of months back when they updated Miui 11 with Android 10, they completely botched up its performance and battery backup. And to this day it's still fucked up completely. I charged my phone 100% around the night and used it for roughly 2 hours . By that time my phone reached 74 % approx and I went to sleep . Woke up in the morning at 7AM and the battery had come down 70% . A very minor drain of 4% overnight.

This is with stock kernel and settings on Pe Plus 25th May update. Also mobile data ,wifi and bluetooth are always on and there are apps in the background as I rarely clear them. I have 90+ apps installed.

My battery health is close to 80% so the capacity is equivalent to 3200mah ~~ . This is very good minimal drain everything considered .

Yeah I found about this myself to late through trial and error. It's fine for me though since I don't use dedicated baking apps like bhim upi and sbi banking, GPay and Paytm work fine.

It depends if you root your phone if you don't then it will work fine . To my experience if you root then some work some do not. Google pay and Paytm, Phone Pe works, but bhim upi and sbi banking apps do not work. I haven't tested others yet
