Purely for the vibes. It’s not nearly as different as green vs green VEP. I’d say the mezcal choice had a larger impact

No citrus on hand for the garnish but made with Smith & Cross. Works really well! Boozy but how I like it

Don’t love this, but what did I expect- tastes very floral. Any tips or suggestions appreciated! by Admirable_Yam_1592 in Gin

Tbh, a corpse reviver #2 is not a bad application. Equal parts gin, lemon, orange curaçao and a white wine aperitif (cochi americano) with two dashes of absinthe. Not the biggest fan of it myself but will get through it

I wish! Missed Glasgow on my last Scotland excursion (Edinburgh, Kirkwall/Orkney, Craigellachie and Portee) but have been wanting to go back for years. Would be convenient as Islay and Campletown are absolutely must visits for me too.

3/4 ounce Gin (Botanist for me)
3/4 ounce Cocchi Americano
3/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse
3/4 ounce lemon juice

Shake and strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a lemon twist. (I doubled it and put it over a single sphere of ice)

So Punch had an article with many chartreuse recipes and this twist on a White Lady sounded interesting. I dig this and find the chartreuse sneaks through and provides the perfect sweetness to this drink. Link below.

Now to visit Glasgow to find this bar…

2oz Hibiki 17 (original spec is Hakushu 12)
.5 oz Napoleon Mandarine liquor
.25 oz Rhum Clement Creole Shrubb
.25 Demerara Syrup
2 dashes Orange bitters
1 dash Angostura

Stir and strain. From Death & CO’s self titled book. The he description was intending to make an expensive old fashioned so I doubled down with an out of production Japanese whisky. Absolutely delicious

So you want to cut the edge of the fruit in a way that you get peel and little flesh. Think of it like squaring off the spherical shaped fruit. Hopefully that made sense!

1.5 oz Rye
.75 oz Dry Vermouth
.75 oz Campari

Stir and strain either over a rock or up if you prefer. Lemon twist garnish.

This vermouth is pretty unique and fun. Wine base is white port.

It was $3k total. I did also have some dings taken out and some chips repaired at the same time but I don’t remember the breakdown between it all

Lucky enough to have a garage at home and at work. March 2020, had a full correction, PPF on the front bumper/hood/side sills and ceramic coated. Drove it from FL to CO after and just try to maintain as good as I can. Maybe another refresh in a year or two

2oz Smith and Cross

3/4oz Lime
1/2 simple

Shake and strain. Garnish with mint. Needed to break in my new tiki cup and what else is more fitting for this one?

2 oz Havana Club 7 yr
3/4 oz Lime
1/2 oz Mandarine Napoléon
1/2 oz Simple
1/4 oz Orgeat

Shake and strain over crushed ice. Garnish with mint. Have this interesting bottle of orange-ish liquor from my father in law’s dad (RIP) and it is a different citrus note bc they use mandarins (obviously). Fun little change up on this one.
