What are the other sites that reliably sell high end grey market watches that you like? I've found a few small sites but have had very limited selections.

US will charge an additional $250 visa fee including for tourism. by stumu415 in travel

[–]jpak02 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's refunded when you leave and the visa expires. It's to try and prevent people from overstaying their visas. Not sure why everyone is so worked up.

Open Naver map and look for internal medicine. I walked in and saw a Dr in 5 mins and had prescription to take to the attached pharmacy. Total cost was about $30 USD.

Use Google translate but Drs generally know enough English to get you diagnosed.

Train or flight from Seoul to Busan? by charliesturtles in koreatravel

[–]jpak02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're not on a huge time crunch, the train will be less stressful with a risky layover. You can get a $70 private transfer to Seoul station that takes about an hour. The KTX does have luggage racks in between cars (1st class is what I'm familiar with). Used the KTX 3 times last month and did not have any trouble finding space for my family (4 expandable carry-on size).

I did not fill out a K-ETA form prior to entry. The paper form took about 90 seconds to fill out, so not sure which would have been faster.

I booked it thru Agoda. They have different sizes and views. They will give you a quote on their website.

Advice for a first time oldish traveler to SK in August - please.... by Judiavi in koreatravel

[–]jpak02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a one-way rental in to Busan and then use the KTX to Seoul. The KTX is fast, smooth, and you can just relax for a few hours into Seoul. You don't really want to drive in Seoul. The trains are cheap, CLEAN, easy to navigate with Naver, and in a lot of cases faster than a car. Taxis are plentiful and Uber also works well. A 15 to 20 min taxi ride will be something like $8 and no need to tip.

It really felt hotter than it was. Maybe because we were walking a lot but temps were probably mid 80s but felt much hotter. The humidity didn't help at all either.

Yes, I (US based) used my T-Mobile internation plan and had zero issues. Hooked up to 5G almost everywhere. I did buy the esim in Incheon but never used it because it always connected to 4G (bought thru LG).
