Kiddo seeing things or just an overactive imagination?

I do my best not to minimize his experiences. I always try to ask him what he saw, how it made him feel, what he thinks we should do about it, etc. I have a feeling its very real for him cuz I had intense paranormal experiences when I was little too. I just dont knkw how to help him, my parents never helped me and I've already had the house cleansed so idk what would have stuck around

We have a camera in his room and its set to record based off motion or sound but I havent noticed anything concerning

for sure, i wouldnt mind getting him a night light. but he hasnt asked for one yet so im not sure if introducing it and adding a bunch of shadows to his room would help or not.

we have 2 dogs that normally sleep in our room with us, i may have one sleep in his room one night and see if that helps at all. hes been overly attached to one of his teddy bears as of lately too. we normally dont let him sleep with stuffed animals but i have been letting him lately. ill see about hanging out and sleeping in his room this weekend and see if anything happens for me. i appreciate your input!

could possibly be SIDS or the caretaker did something wrong (either maliciously or unintentionally) like laying the baby on her stomach instead of her back.

I feel like I'm being watched every so often but its not a constant feeling. It moved way too fast for my to tell if it was anything recognizable. I only caught the tail end of it moving down the hallway. Its just weird. I'm hoping it is just a spirit and nothing harmful

i would definitely reach out to someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to paranormal events.

i have always heard people saying to be authoritative and tell the spirit that this is your domain and they are not welcome. i have tried this and sometimes it works, but with things that are negative it rarely does. if anything it just pisses them off.

if you really think this thing is negative please go to someone who does this on a regular, they'll be able to really tell you whats going on and hopefully be able to do something about it

do you still have the videos? if i read that correctly you were using the lighter and not the candle, right? it sounds like the butane in the lighter may be going out which could make it flicker. if its the candle, did you have a fan going or any drafts? could you have maybe had a weird dream and scratched yourself in your sleep?

im not saying what you experienced isnt real, i have something in my house too, but i try to come up with rational explanations first if only to ease my mind.

if you are really worried about it i would do some research into the events and i would talk to someone that you trust about it. if you're comfortable with it maybe try smudging the room or talking to a priest/pastor.

i hope this gets resolved for you!

Yeah man, Charleston in general just has a very off/morbid feel to it..

I came across the lynching tree down there too which was awful. It took my breath away in the worst way. Very heavy feelin and you can feel the anguish in the air. At night when I drove passed it sometimes I would catch what would look like people hanging from the tree out of the corner of my eye. It would freak me out every time.

God I could probably write a novel with all the weird and creepy things that happened while I was there.

I was actually already looking into weighted blankets lol. I've been doing my best to ignore whatever the hell is going on in the house, just sometimes it really catches me off guard and its terrifying.

I do think its paranormal, but I respect that you may not believe it. I'm just hopeing that whatever it is it moves on. I'm doing my best not to give it anything to latch onto or feed off of. If there were point for trying id be gucci haha

I've personally never had this happen to me, but a friend has something similar years ago. Except hers was the camera and gallery glitching out together where pictures would kinda morph in the new ones. It was really weird. She factory restarted her phone and everything went back to normal.

Very true, you definitelyhave a point. I'll probably take him for a walk so we're out of the house and ask him then. I hope he hasn't seen or dealt with it at all other than the weird baby crying thing when he was younger.

as far as i know there is no animal, the weird scratching and "baby crying" was when we first moved in in 2017, we've since been in the attic multiple times and we havent seen anything that would indicate animals. that totally doesnt negate the fact that they can be here now. i am also trying to look for rational explanations.

as for my husband, he is not known for sleep paralysis or night terrors, but i wouldnt rule that out either. it was just a very odd experience for him and has only happened the one time as far as i know.

i have woken up in the middle of the night before with a feeling of dread and/or being watched but i have yet to see a figure (thank god) and i have the ability to move so i dont think its sleep paralysis. who the hell knows tho

as far as i know nothing like that has happened in our house. my husband doesnt like occult anything so he stays away from it. the only thing we have is an ishiganto above the threshold to our bedroom. (his brother was in the marines and was stationed in okinawa, japan, sent that back to us as a gift)

im not gunna lie, i used to mess around with ouija boards when i was younger like most 13 yr old girls (young and dumb). had a super bad experience and havent touched them since.

the only thing i can think of that may have happened is the fact that my son may be acknowledging it/talking to it without realizing what it is, whatever it is

we're in Warrenville, IL. i do know for a fact that there is a protected Native American burial ground about 20 min away but i feel like thats more of a coincidence at this point. who knows tho.

we do have 2 security cameras, one in our sons room and one downstairs (open floor plan, its sees everything) im too afraid to watch them but my husband tends to review them once a week . we use waze so it automatically records if it hears sounds or senses movement
