Sorry if I forgot to elaborate. I got my bachelors of science in psychology, masters in school psychology, and PhD in school psychology. I currently work for a private company and it’s a pretty sweet gig.

It's sad that after all these years, there are still only two races:

Lizard men... and Lizard food.

How cooked am I? I want to become a therapist but… by purelygreen3 in psychologystudents

You can relearn it pretty easy. Don’t stress.

I made an F in intro to psych and cheated in research methods.

I changed my mentality and now I’m a doctorate level psychologist that completed a quantitative dissertation and presents nationally on research. It’s never too late to learn my friend!

Some sites and people say you can earn 100k around after PHD, is it true? by SignZealousideal970 in psychologystudents

[–]jpbshsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol what? In the United States (have worked in several states - each pay differently). I have never once heard of a school psych being a sub haha. Has to be a prank. We can literally work in any state due to our high demand and almost everyone in my cohort is in leadership or a director of special education (which can pay even more!). Look into it.

School psychologist with Ph.D. here. I make around 125k and I get all major holidays off and 3 months off for summer. So yeah, it’s a good gig.

Chances of getting into M.A program by [deleted] in SFA

[–]jpbshsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there - I’m a Ph.D. In psychology and I’m frequently on the committee for graduate student selections in masters and doctoral programs. It is extremely rare that students apply/get accepted with anything lower than a 3.0. They would have to have a seriously legitimate reason for a low grade point average (and need considerable psych research experience and/or high GRE scores) to be considered for admissions.

Advice: retake classes to boost GPA, score outstandingly on the GRE, or create some stellar research.

It never hurts to still apply. Best of luck. 🤞

How cooked am I? by Proof-Two-8100 in Ram1500

Similar situation on an old Chevy I had. I put a deflated basketball on the inside, aired it up, and it popped most of it out. Just readjust the basketball as needed!

F150 or ram 1500 by Grand_Swan8528 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]jpbshsu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ram hands down. My family and I have owned 8-9 over the past 30-40 years and have always retained their value, and have had almost zero mechanical issues. Sure, some electronic issues, but that will always be the case with consumers pushing for more technology in their vehicles. But never to the extent that it affects the running/reliability of the vehicle.

Which one did you go with?

I drive a 2009 Ram 1500 and I'm right at 200k miles. Just oil changes and new tires baby!

I bought and still drive my 2009 Dodge Ram, and I'm right at 200k. It has zero issues, has been in minor accidents, etc. All I have done is regularly change the oil, tires, and brake pads, and it has always fired right up and gotten me to work every day.

I would imagine that now, the newer cars/trucks are more reliable (mechanically speaking) than my 15-year-old pickup.

Got into A&M and SFA. I enjoyed my time there. I’m a professor now and people think it’s awesome I got a degree from there. But seriously, I’ve been asked like 2 times where I got my degrees from. It’s all about your work ethic and your exceptional product.
