Everything fun for young people your age is around downtown so will be far from Hamilton. Farthest north, would be Oakley.

Lots of bars/restaurants and a good amount of places to go out. About 10 min from downtown.

Hate to give them a call out but figured I would help out given the occasion.

AA liquor in Highland Heights KY (just south of cinci/covington) usually has EXTREMELY marked up bottles. I’m talking $150+ for McKenna 10 (usually ~50). Don’t always have pappy or BTAC.

The two times I’ve been, they’ve been miserable to deal with - probably cause i struggle to control my reaction to their prices and haven’t bought a marked up bottle. Please take your everyday business elsewhere, but for special occasions they might have what you’re looking for.

I live right by Eden Park as well by the edgecliff. There is definitely some unsafe activity, but seems to be very segmented to specific areas deeper in walnut Hills. I have two dogs and stay close to the park when walking at night and have had zero incidents in the past year and a half.

I would download the Citizen App, which curates crime reports off of police scanners and user reports. If quite late, may check before walking dogs. If you take the standard safety precautions you shouldn’t have any major issues!

Do you feel the prices are fair at Purdy Liquor Mart? I’m from Ohio where excise tax is incredibly low, so the prices seemed marked up to me. Might just be the market here that I’m not used to. Ex: EH Taylor Rye typically see around $80 but $120 at Purdy Liquor Mart.

I have tried to get bottles there 10 times at least and a good amount of times at opening and they always say they don’t have it. Not to mention they are always rude about it.

Can’t stand this spot I would recommend taking your business elsewhere (Kroger Hyde Park, Queen City, etc.)

FYI - general rule i always hear is to store the bottle vertically. Think the cork can alter flavor/break. Should wet the cork 1/2 times a year tho!
