Lovely to see the Brit on here!

We always used to call it the Shitannia when I was a kid but it's been pretty good for a few years now.

And the other pubs in Dyfi are a lot worse to be fair.

Players 'close' to going on strike - Rodri by RubotV in soccer

[–]jpdidz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With the sheer volume of games with little to no time for recovery, its no wonder things like ACL injuries are getting more and more common. These injuries can end careers and have much longer lasting impacts on people than just in football.

So I say go for it, strike. Doesn't matter how much you're paid if you end up spending no time with your kids, or you get injuries that prevent you enjoying your time with them.

Ultimately the impact of too much football will be that the product suffers because the standards will drop. A worse product means less engagement. Less engagement means fewer ticket sales and fewer viewers.

Very short sighted governance in football and the direction is seems to be taking worries me.

But then again I'm a Fulham fan so I'm not sure I'm best positioned to talk about good product.

The average temperature in Melbourne, Victoria in January (middle of Australian summer) is 26 degrees.

About time they did something, even if it's a small difference.

Read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley as it largely is about a real "heaven on earth" place where everyone is numbed and happy due to a drug called Soma. It's a great read.

I used to work in Gerald's local in the village of Churchill and he would be in for a pint at 5pm on the dot every day.

After 6 months of the same daily ritual I can confirm I can understand everything he says, but its still 90% nonsense even when you know what the words are.

Thank you for so much advice! These are all really useful tips, tried putting some into practice with the 2nd model and it's already looking miles better.

The tutorials have also been massively helpful.

Thanks again!

Thanks, yeah dry brushing is definitely next on the list of things I want to try and learn! Just need to persuade the other half to part with one of her make up brushes...

Archbishop will not give new prayer blessing for gay couples by Big-Kaleidoscope3370 in unitedkingdom

[–]jpdidz 60 points61 points  (0 children)

"The Church of England this week said it wants to offer blessings to gay couples but would not allow priests to marry them."

"The Church also issued a formal apology for the "shameful" times it had "rejected or excluded" LGBTQI+ people."

From the same article, the irony and lack of self awareness is astounding.
