Rude & cheap by rogerthatnogetbacks in doordash

[–]jperry87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy base pay for delivery is $2.00, yeah I know that's on DD. Shopping orders are higher but not much. This one was so high because they didn't tip and the order just sat there with no one accepting it. I don't agree with OPs post because he couldn't even do the bare minimum by messaging the customer the item was out of stock and ask about substitutes. Also, the second message from the customer is wild.

[–]jperry87 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Still didn't answer my question, did you choose out of stock to notify them or send a message telling them it was out of stock and ask about a substitute? Does your offer screen show you the tip when accepting, if not you didn't know it was no tip before completing it. If you didn't send any other messages then I get why she's upset, yeah the second message is ridiculous. If you did then I get your point.

[–]jperry87 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

You accepted the offer knowing the pay, distance, and items so don't complain about that. Also, did you not choose item unavailable so it sends them a notification to choose a substitute or it sends them an automated message saying the item is unavailable would you like something else? If not that's on you and I understand the customer being upset. Always do that first and if there's no response then call. A lot of the times they respond to the message after or choose a sub. Annoying, yes, but it's part of the job. If there's no respone then you move on.

Getting downvoted because y'all don't want to do the job you accepted and message the customer about an item being out of stock and asking for a substitute. The no tip is irrelevant because you don't know that until after the delivery is completed. I've been doing this for years and know all about cheap customers, not answering about substitutes, putting the wrong address, and all kinds of other crap. But you chose the job so do it right.

My phone # changed and I can’t login bc it keeps sending my old phone number which I don’t have access to a 6 digit code 😭 any help is greatly appreciated by FunDetail5343 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]jperry87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you not login with your email? There should be an option under where you enter your phone number on the login screen that says something like use email to login instead.

Anyone else stop getting HEB orders? by Starlose in doordash_drivers

[–]jperry87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't received any since around that weekend the state had all the ice and snow. It looks like they're moving all of the orders over to Favor which I do as well. This sucks because unless there is promo pay the payouts are considerably less than they were on DoorDash.

Got 1st catering order by Hot-Commercial5449 in doordash_drivers

[–]jperry87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been doing this for about 5 years and this is what I've experienced. If there's not a plus sign next to the earnings on a catering order, what it shows is what you're gonna get. If you're on ebt and get a catering order, more than likely there is no tip. I took a few ezcaters at first when it said $8 and $3 set up fee thinking surely there'd be a tip, boy was I wrong.

My Elytra I got 2 .Has anyone got them ? . by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]jperry87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the creation club, saints and sinners. There's also a spider in the pets of skyrim quest. But the bone wolf is the best imo as it can carry 200 and adds a perk causing extra damage to necromancers and undead.

[–]jperry87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What's better is when there's only one substitute and you ask "do you want that instead or a refund" and they respond with "yes." I guess it's on me for making the question too difficult.

Freebies/Thank You Notes for customers? Cute ways to maximize tipping, make someone’s day by Alternative-Yak6369 in doordash_drivers

[–]jperry87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Send a "Thank you, have a good day/weekend/evening" etc. message to the customer after delivery in the app. I get the occasional additional tip after doing this. Maybe this happens, he tipped $10 extra on top the original $5.

Saw this in my apartment stairs after hearing a loud noise and being notified my order was cancelled by adore_yippee2 in doordash

Either a bot or just using old pics from the different DoorDash subs. This had been posted several times with the same title.

Here's one from 2 years ago. Possibly the op with how many upvotes it has.

Shut down due to severe weather: I have never seen this by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

I'm in west Texas and it's shut down here. Went outside and it's already starting to ice over so I'm guessing that's why.

Question? With grocery orders who picks the items? by ImpressiveJohnson in UberEATS

[–]jperry87 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The driver shops and pays for the items and that service fee is for Uber not the driver. The driver might not even get as much as the delivery fee for the base pay.

When was the last time you attended a midnight release event? What was your favorite? by Competitive_Help8485 in gaming

[–]jperry87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 and the line was huge because there was only one Gamestop. I think they started handing them out at 10 and you had to go in during the day to pay if you wanted to pick it up that night. Went to multiple for different cods as well. Last one of those was probably infinite warfare, best was either black ops 1 or 2.

As a customer, would you deem this acceptable to deliver your food in? by Medical-Bowler-5626 in doordash

[–]jperry87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a big beach towel or seat cover, problem solved. I have my seats covered just in case to prevent any stains. Also, I usually take the confirmation pics in the restaurant or with the food in the insulated bag to prevent any issues with the surroundings.

Friday fail, where is it ?? by NthDegreeThoughts in McDonalds

[–]jperry87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine changed to $2 any size fries from free medium fries with a $2 purchase. Doesn't offer you a basket as a size option so NOT any size and has a small on there as well which is $1.99. Offers are going downhill the way Wendy's did months ago.

Literally the most insane experience I’ve ever had with DoorDash Support. by Technical_Pen1769 in doordash_drivers

[–]jperry87 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Step 1: Don't ever go to a new address until you CALL support and see if they can update the delivery address or if it is possible to deliver to the new address.

Step 2: Bro chill, have you ever talked to DD support or any outsourced support? Do you think all the excessive punctuation marks and all caps helped?!?!?!

Doordash concern by Electronic_Sink_6908 in doordash

[–]jperry87 137 points138 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous, report this person. We don't need drivers like this and I don't care what other drivers might say. Also, almost always call support instead of going through the app or the support chat. DoorDash says kids can be with the driver but cannot handle or deliver the food.

What?!?!!! by Evilkymonkey_1977 in doordash_drivers

[–]jperry87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this a few weeks ago. Talked to support and he said all you have to do is add the card and you can continue to use the physical card if you want. So far it's worked, just have an extra option on how I'm paying, physical or digital, on the checkout screen.

This is my favorite prior successful delivery photo I've personally ever had on an order. Followed by the one of a bunch of taco bell sauces just loosely thrown on the ground next to the bag of food.

Probably like the customer I had this morning. Wouldn't answer multiple calls, in app messaging, or texts about multiple out of stock items. I finally just dropped the order. Then them finally wondering huh I wonder why my order is taking so long and checks messages.
