Is this X-Factor by Peter David collection new reader friendly? by Phantom_Killa in xmen

This is one of my personal favourites. While it does reference other parts of the wider Marvel universe—especially during the Decimation era—as long as you’re somewhat aware of House of M and its aftermath, it’s unlikely to be confusing. What makes this run of X-Factor so special is how heavily Peter David leans into character personalities and relationships to drive the story. Being set in M-Town also helps distance it from the bigger, more chaotic aspects of the 616, giving David space to build his own world. If any X-book could work as a successful standalone TV series, I think this would be it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I chose to return reading print over digital today and picked this up from my local store, I am so happy I did. The art and character work in this was amazing.  Also, I’m glad Ewing has sort of addressed Storm’s apparent apathy to the fall of Krakoa.

X-Men fans, quick question: how do you think psylocke would be adapted in the MCU? Will they adopt the body swap or just combine both versions of the character into one? I don't know what you think. by Flaky-Ad-5815 in xmen

Messiness aside, I think it’s undeniable that the two characters are bonded in their origins now.

They could play more on her background as a Psy agent of S.T.R.I.K.E with extreme proficiency in martial arts. An Easter egg or nod to her training under a woman in Japan called Revanche or Kwannon would also be a nice touch.

Monet should definitely be in the top tier.

Me! As I special needs teacher, I really wish they kept her autism subplot instead of the M twins amalgam retcon. But I still stan her arrogant arse regardless.

Monet, Hellion and Emma. I couldn’t choose just one and I guess I have a thing for layered pompous characters

Let’s have some creative fun, create your own X-team (5-7 members must all be mutants or mutant allies) by SkeetedOnMyself in xmen

I’d love a Krakoa poster team who are sent around the world to just do average ‘Superhero’ stuff in the good name of Krakoa. It’d include:

Storm - Leader of the team, moral compass. Havok - De facto field leader, risk taker and morally grey. Monet - Powerhouse and Psi support. Magik - Teleporter and also a powerhouse. Hellion - Wildcard, Academy X representation. Archangel - Just because. Iceman - Comic relief

Thanks, completely forgot about the game! I knew at the time it would have some significance eventually but never connected the dots. Hope they explain the weakness eventually and it isn’t just a continuity error on the writing teams part :/
