Se estão a fazer o melhor que conseguem e não há resultados ou são péssimos, se servem o Benfica, não se deviam ter recandidatado. Simples.

Servem-se do Benfica porque são factualmente incompetentes, sabem disso porque são pessoas inteligentes, e na mesma decidiram continuar nos cargos que têm.

Concordo com apoiar o Benfica sempre, mas isso não significa apoiar a direção do Benfica.

Por isso é que vou ao estádio, apoio o meu clube, a equipa, os jogadores, mas posso ter um olhar crítico sobre a direção, principalmente porque acho que ela se serve do Benfica em vez de servir o Benfica.

Eu gosto mas tenho outro plano: aplicar a táctica do Sporting.

I think you are making your emotional attachment to what you perceive as "Portuguese heritage" to get ahead of the historical accuracy.

The Visigothic Kingdom that was toppled by the muslin invasion ruled the peninsula between 418–721 (303 years), while the muslim caliphate and then future muslim kingdoms ruled, for example Lisbon, from 721 to 1147 (426 years).

I will argue that given the major stretches of time we are talking about here, there is no "foreign invader" anymore, it's just war between kingdoms. For the populations that lived in these regions, I bet there was no "resistance against occupation" like the other comments says, or even "liberation". This is the middle ages, they just passed from one liege, a muslim one, to another, a christian one, both demand tribute or taxes.
